THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT IIT HYDERABAD
Likes
- the infrastructure is very good all the labs are equipped with top of the line equipments and there is no curfew timing so you can enjoy whenever you want
- faculty are highly educated and very helping
Dislikes
- well it is named IIT Hyderabad whereas it is located 50 km from main Hyderabad city and it takes you around 2 hours to reach to airport or any nearest railway station .
- well there are not many outlets in college where you can buy food or basic things for survival
Remarks :
I choose this college because despite being a new IIT, it is rapidly growing among other engineering colleges in India . now it is ranked 8 on NERF ranking . I had to give jee mains and jee advanced to get admission here . and after the exams there was a counselling session for which college to choose .
Course Curriculum Overview :
I was from a biology background and I was interested in biotechnology and its rapid growth post covid Era . and biotechnology in this college is one of the best in India . as far as I am aware all the faculties have done there post docs or doctorates from top universities across the world . exams are held on regular basis and the level of the exam is good . there are multiple questions of multiple difficulty level .

Placement Experience :
the eligibility criteria is different for each company in placement . Last year a lot of companies came to campus like oracle , American Express and they recruited around 10 people each . highest package was around 1.2 cr and average was around 24 lakhs . my plans after degree is to do masters in the field of management .

Campus Life :
well there are two main fest organised in the college one is Milan i.e. held in the month of sept and main fest i.e. Elan N Vision held in march . well the library is state of the art with easy book availability and for journals there is a webpage where we can access them . The sports complex is world class in our college and a lot of extracurricular activities are organised in college on regular basis . there are a lot of clubs run by students themselves like books and movies club , infocus- the photography club , behind the lens - the filmmaking club , gesture - art club , rdm - drama club etc .
Hostel Facilities :
well I am living in the hostel since past 2 years .i.e beginning of my course coz it is compulsory for bachelors students to avail hostel in the college . every student is given single room each . it has a wardrobe bed , table and chair . and it is equipped with radiant cooling system for keeping the rooms Coll during the summer season . the food is good in mess I will rate in 7 on 10 .

From what I have experienced the college starts preparing us for placements much earlier than I expected. We regularly have coding practice, project work, resume reviews, aptitude sessions and mock interviews, so you are improving little by little instead of waiting for the final year. The college also shares internship and job opportunities with students. I feel the support is definitely there but your results depend on how much effort you put into building your skills.

Placement Experience :
Since I am still a student I haven't gone through the final placement season yet. But from what I have seen the college starts preparing us quite early. We have regular coding sessions, aptitude training, mock interviews and resume building workshops. The placement team also shared internship opportunities whenever they are available. I feel the college is more focused on making students job ready than waiting until the final year. If you stay consistent with your coding, projects and overall skills, you will be in a much better position when placement season starts. Overall I think the college provides good support, but students also need to put in their own effort.

As a current student I haven't reached the final placement season yet but the college has already started preparing us. We get regular updates about internship opportunities, and many students apply from the early semester itself. Along with that there are sessions on resume writing, aptitude, communication skills and interview preparation. The college also encourages us to build projects and improve our technical skills, which helps while applying for internships. I feel these small efforts throughout the course will make a big difference when placements begun.

Placement Experience :
NIAT is a relatively new institute the first batch hasn't graduated yet, so there isn't any official placement record available. However the college has done a good job of preparing students through practical learning, coding and real world projects. Many students have already secured internships from the first year itself which gives them valuable industry experience. Along with technical skills the college also provides guidance for resume building and interviews, making students feel more confident about future placement opportunities.
A Complete Review of JNTUH: Opportunities and Campus Life
Placement Experience :
Eligibility is that we must maintain atleast 60-70% aggregate overall without any active backlogs. Recruiters are Infosys, TCS, Wipro, AWS etc. Total no. of offers made: All branches combined get 700-1100+ offers. Highest package is 52 lpa offered by AWS, and average package is about 6 lpa. About 60% students get placements. After getting my degree, I intend to get a good job in campus placements in companies like AWS, and go towards VLSI field
