Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Management Studies and Research is one of the top most college in Nagpur city for any course, with the best infrastructure, teachings, staff and campus. Cut-offs vary depending on the category and course. Campus isn't that big but it's quite peaceful. I had difficulty in two subjects because of the professors teaching style, besides that I understood every other subjects.
There are too many curriculum activities that would enhance/develop skills of the students. DAIMSR, isn't just about teaching but you get to participate in many debates and quizzes. Besides that there are so many social activities related to the course and field trips are held every year. Faculties are nice and friendly.
We were provided almost 3 internships till now for finance, marketing and hr. Interviews were taken by the recruiters and the results are yet to come. It's just the start of semester three, professors will provide more internship opportunities.
I have no idea about placements but internships are given from the second year. There are numerous internship opportunities provided by the professors. Interviews are taken for internship by the recruiters.
Fees structure varies each year. The total fees during the 1 year was Rs 15000 but th e reserved category students had to pay less amount. Reserved category students are provided scholarships during each year to pay their semester fee.
Infrastructure is quite good. Although, the campus isn't that big but it's still quite peaceful. Fests are generally held during the start of every year and extra curricular activities are held every now and then. Library is open for every student and you'll find almost every possible book related to course or other. Social activities are held by each club every now and then for students.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
