Remarks :
I am interested in research and development and IISERs are best for it. Admission takes place through three channels 1. KVPY 2. JEE adv. 3. IISER aptitude test Also you need to be in top one percentile of your respective 12th class board. Cutoffs vary each year But closing rank of general category/OBC is nearly 2000-1800 and SC/ST is somewhat more. I prepared through coaching and using NCERT books. Also solving previous year questions of IAT, NEET, JEE and NEST.
Course Curriculum Overview :
BS-MS is best course as per the new era of research and it gives you an opportunity to be in the environment of research throughput. Each Faculty is a well known researcher (Postdoctoral) with many citations. Term exams include two quizzes (10% each before a month of mid sem and after mid sem), a mid sem(30%) and an end sem(50%) for each semester. Overall scores of a year.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes I opted for internship but it as a research internship which was from IIT Roorkee. I got a stipend of 20000 rs for the work of 3 months. Internship opportunities are pretty good but stipend is less.
Placement Experience :
Job opportunities are not much at IISER Bhopal because this college is set up for the purpose of creating individuals who are interested in research. But students from engineering sciences though have opportunities. Highest package was worth 20 lac per annum and avg. is 10 lac per annum. Only 10% students take jobs rest all go for further studies like PhD or MBA.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Each semester you need to pay total of 49800 rs out of which 33400 is tution fee. This tuition fee is waived for SC/ST students. This comprises of all hostel charges and other miscellaneous expenses. Mess charges are excluded. It is in between 3200-3700. Scholarships are also awarded to students Like Inspire Scholarship which awards 5 thousand rupees each month.
Campus Life :
Campus life is best of IISER Bhopal. You get to play sports. All type of sports can be seen here except hockey. You can get to participate in inter and intra IISER sports meet. And there’s an annual fest known as Enthuzia in the month of Feb/Mar. Library is full of all types of books and is spacious. There are many clubs like Drama Music even each academic domain has its own club like biology club, chemistry club etc. some most interesting clubs are movie club, tourism club, books club and many more.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostels are good at IISER Bhopal. You need to be in double accommodation. Though the space in rooms are less but they are affordable. You are not allowed to be a day scholar. You need to be at hostels itself present in the 250 acre campus. Mess are not good nor bad. Sometimes the food is great sometimes it’s worst. But menu seems to be tempting.

Placement and job opportunity is good in this college around 60% placed before start of 7th semester and 90% placed till end of 8th semester. Various company like Amazon , tcs , infosys , etc visit the campus. Highest package till now is 44 lpa and average is 6.5 lpa

The placement is quite quite good as year on years recently the placement was goes 57LPA to 75LPA and teh avg was 7-8LPA and median is 10LPA something. The college have 100% placement record every year and they also give grants and loans for students who wants to startup. But the internship support is zero like college are only focused on placement they are not foucing on internship.

I would like to say there are more job openings and internship programmes we had than a private college for both Graduates and Masters students. job openings in TCS/ banks and industries too. The thing is you need to put effort to grab a good opportunity. attain placements opening whenever you got notification from college groups. be prepared. ask your teacher to clear more doubts. However, I am the one who already had a job so I did not take from there because I was working in tech mahindra and its work from home in my favourate feild.

MBBS is concerned there is no issue with placement. As none of the doctors are jobless. And obviously placements are good one can work in well esteemed organization after just MBBS but more people prefer to opt PG course.
