My thoughts on IISERB.
Likes
- the greenery is extremely beautiful and well maintained.
- the campus is vast and feels never ending.
- The various labs here do a lot of cutting edge research which is always fascinating to see.
Dislikes
- the campus is too far off from any urban centre and public transport is super expensive.
- there used to be night canteen earlier but they now removed it and put up vending machines everywhere.
Remarks :
a general love for physics made me want to take admission into a research college like this. I was also interested in doing Engeneering at an IIT and then pursue physics on a higher level. But I guess this works as well
Course Curriculum Overview :
Coursework is pretty hectic, especially the first semester which only lasts 3 months and covers a syllabus mean for 4 months. The faculties are highly qualified individuals with PhDs and several post docs from famous foreign universities.
Internships Opportunities :
there are a bunch of labs in the campus itself offering cutting edge research internships for first few years or you can also access the vast IISER network to approach a lot more professors. While many other research based companies (like TIFR) have also offered internships to my seniors in their 3rd year.
Placement Experience :
most people here opt for PhDs and higher studies in their respective domains after the 5 year BSMS and only a few sign up for campus placement drives, where (I think) most get placed with a median package of 14 LPA (2024 passouts). The placement cell here will have more accurate data on that.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
> one time fee at the beginning of the course: 15,000/- > semester fee (excluding mess): 53,100/- (subject to change in future) > mess fee per year: almost 30,000/- (subject to change in future) > medical health insurance: around 2,500/- per year
Campus Life :
the natural beauty of this campus is extremely well maintained and gorgeous. A huge loads clubs keep organising a lot of events, festivals, competitions, etc. The library is spacious and comfortable but there's a scarcity of course books you can issue.
Hostel Facilities :
you share a room with 1 roommate and the bathrooms are common (3 public bathrooms per floor which is pretty sufficient). there's 2 big common halls, one vending machine and other basic amenities like water cooler, lounge, tv, fridge. Food quality in nearby mess is decent, thought not as good as home cooked food (of-course)

This course was the amazing combination of art and medical science you need to be perfect in both the things. Most amazing and adventurous field ever . Faculties of our college are highly qualified and well known dentists. There teaching method was also very unique and new we have yearly exam schedule for each years

Placement and job opportunity is good in this college around 60% placed before start of 7th semester and 90% placed till end of 8th semester. Various company like Amazon , tcs , infosys , etc visit the campus. Highest package till now is 44 lpa and average is 6.5 lpa
Life at School Of Commerce, Devi Ahilya University
Placement Experience :
The placement is quite quite good as year on years recently the placement was goes 57LPA to 75LPA and teh avg was 7-8LPA and median is 10LPA something. The college have 100% placement record every year and they also give grants and loans for students who wants to startup. But the internship support is zero like college are only focused on placement they are not foucing on internship.

I would like to say there are more job openings and internship programmes we had than a private college for both Graduates and Masters students. job openings in TCS/ banks and industries too. The thing is you need to put effort to grab a good opportunity. attain placements opening whenever you got notification from college groups. be prepared. ask your teacher to clear more doubts. However, I am the one who already had a job so I did not take from there because I was working in tech mahindra and its work from home in my favourate feild.

There's a good amount of placement opportunities but the only minus point is the Training and placement department is same for the other branches of this college such as Lakshmi Naraine college of Technology and science bhopal

If you are focused on your studies you can get really good opportunities here as companies like accenture,TCS, Wipro and Tata Mahindra come here every year and many more companies too. The college provides training and placement classes from 2nd year onwards.

MBBS a rollercoaster ????

MBBS is concerned there is no issue with placement. As none of the doctors are jobless. And obviously placements are good one can work in well esteemed organization after just MBBS but more people prefer to opt PG course.
