Remarks :
I always wanted to make my career as a physicist, so I chose to get my admission in any of the IISERs. I chose IISER Bhopal among the 7 IISERs because the Nature ranking of IISER Bhopal is all India 5. So I thought of learning my subject from the best of professionals in the nation, and that is the reason I came here. We had to appear in the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) in order to get here. People also can get admission based on their JEE ADVANCED scores.
Course Curriculum Overview :
This college mainly focuses on developing interest on research works and academic pursuits. The course work is very hectic and heavy. We are introduced to topics that are generally of doctoral levels in order to get ourselves prepared for the research works. The academic life here is quite flamboyant as we get to explore much more things apart from formal studies. Being a college where multidisciplinary studies are always promoted, it becomes easy for us to get exposure of different research work of different domains. The faculties are one of the best in their respective domains in the nation. All of them are highly qualified with Phd and multiple Post Doctoral research experiences from abroad. Some of the faculties are alumni of esteemed universities like University of Cambridge, University of Oxford etc. The teaching method is also a bit different, they focus on more to create research interests in students than mugging up the concepts. The term exams occurs twice a semester.
Internships Opportunities :
Internships here are majorly research Internships in any of the reputed research groups of our nation. I have done my Internship at IIT Madras Femtosecond Facility, at IISER TVM, and one at Ben Gurion University at Beer Shava at Israel.
Placement Experience :
Most of the students at our college opt for PhD after completion of their degrees. But the few interested in placements are hired by companies like TCS, PWC, DELLOITE etc through in campus placement drives. The eligibility criteria of placement is to have a CPI more than 8. People with less CPI also get placed through off campus placements. SDC (Student Development Council) conducts this placement drive, and many more skill development programs. Minimum package of the placement is 12 lakh per annum (as per institute norms)
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I am providing the semester wise fees structure Tuition Fees: 33400 User Fees: 9700 Hostel and Dinig facilities user fees: 6700 So in total the semester fees becomes 49800 So in a year we need to pay 49800×2 = 99600 (For a general candidate) But for candidates with SC/ST reservation, the tuition Fees is waived. So they need to pay 16400 per semester and 32800 per year. There's only one scholarship available for us that INSPIRE Scholarship, by the Department of Science and Technology. And through this scholarship we get 60000 per year
Campus Life :
The social life at IISER Bhopal is very flamboyant as there are many other facilities than academic pursuits. This IISER has the best sport facilities and teaching staffs for Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Table Tennis, Lawn Tennis, Kabaddi, Squash and many more. The sports culture at IISER Bhopal is just too good! There are Sangharsh (which is Intra IISER Bhopal sports fest), also we participate in IISM (Inter IISERs IISC Sports Meet). Also cultural parts are well taken care of, the Music club and Dance clubs are also very active. We also have FALC, a council that deals with arts and all. We get out fest dedicated to arts. So there are multiple fests in a year, IISERB MUN (Fest conducted by SDC) ARTS AND LETTERS (Arts fest) ARMAGADON (Scienceand Tech fest) MAHUA (Fest on Environmental activities) ENTHUZIA (Annual cultural fest) And we have Science Council, FALC, SDC, EDIC under SAC for student activities.
Hostel Facilities :
This is residential college, so it is mandatory for us to stay in at the hostels and the Mess registration is also mandatory. For mess we need to pay 3700 per month for food. And the food here is average. Each hostel has two occupancy rooms. We have hot water facility, the water and electricity supply is 24×7. We get free wifi and broadband connections of internet speed upto 1 GB per second. We have a very good common room with a large TV and sufficient sofas.

Placement and job opportunity is good in this college around 60% placed before start of 7th semester and 90% placed till end of 8th semester. Various company like Amazon , tcs , infosys , etc visit the campus. Highest package till now is 44 lpa and average is 6.5 lpa
Life at School Of Commerce, Devi Ahilya University

The placement is quite quite good as year on years recently the placement was goes 57LPA to 75LPA and teh avg was 7-8LPA and median is 10LPA something. The college have 100% placement record every year and they also give grants and loans for students who wants to startup. But the internship support is zero like college are only focused on placement they are not foucing on internship.

I would like to say there are more job openings and internship programmes we had than a private college for both Graduates and Masters students. job openings in TCS/ banks and industries too. The thing is you need to put effort to grab a good opportunity. attain placements opening whenever you got notification from college groups. be prepared. ask your teacher to clear more doubts. However, I am the one who already had a job so I did not take from there because I was working in tech mahindra and its work from home in my favourate feild.

MBBS is concerned there is no issue with placement. As none of the doctors are jobless. And obviously placements are good one can work in well esteemed organization after just MBBS but more people prefer to opt PG course.
