- Faculty here is amazing and helpful, they are always willing to help.
- Infrastructure is also very good with all kinds of facilities.
Dislikes
- The downside would be the placement, if someone just comes here for placement might get disappointed.
- The hostel rooms are a bit small, although not much of a issue.
Remarks :
I wrote an exam called IISER APTITUDE TEST (IAT), I was interested in the engineering science course so I chose IISER Bhopal. The faculty here is quite good, campus facilities are also above par. Labs and academics is much better than any other private college. There are good amount of sports facilities including coaches for various games. For the down side there is very minimal placement as it is a research institute and not an engineering college. The IAT exam was of 240 marks, 60 marks for PCMB, one can only attempt PCM/PCB but the evaluation will be done for all four subjects, the good part is there are no subject wise cut-offs. After the results one needs to sit for the counselling to get selected in any one of the IISER, IITM BS, IISc BS.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The Engineering science course here, felt unique to me. The curriculum is a bit different from traditional B.Tech one but still better than many other institutes. The faculty here is top notch, most of them having done Post Doctorate from foreign institutions including Max Plank, Oxford, University of California, etc. Most of the faculty teaching method is very student friendly, they always welcome questions and love solving doubts. One can also approach them after the classes for further clarification of the topic. Exams happen on a very regular basis, there are Quiz, then mid term and then the end term. One needs to consistently perform in all of them to get good grades.
Placement Experience :
Placements here are a bit on the downside. Since it is a research institute, people opt for higher studies mostly in IITs, IIMs, IISc or foreign. People here have very specific research interest and hence not interested in placement. Most of them go for research as there career pursuing higher studies from foreign institutes in Germany, Canada, USA, etc.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee affordable as it is a government college, total fee per semester varies from 45k-55k depending on factors like year of enrolment, etc. There a bunch of scholarships that can be availed including the DST-Inspire scholarship. Tution fee for SC,ST students is waived off.
Campus Life :
The campus is very open with very minimal restrictions, although tight security is there. There are various councils here, like the Computing and Networking Council, Cultural Council, etc and under there councils there are various clubs which function through out the year arranging for talks, workshops and events. During the even semester we have our fests, Science fest, Tech fest, Cultural fest, Movie fest, Arts fest, etc. The infrastructure and sports facilities are top notch. Although still developing, we have a very good infrastructure for almost everything. There almost all kinds of general sports available on campus along with coaches and equipments. We have a centralised library which has almost all the books available which one shall use along his/her academic journey here. We have SAC (Student Activity Council) for managing all kind of fests and student done activities on campus.
Hostel Facilities :
It is compulsory for one to stay in the institute hostel in your graduation. The rooms are a bit small but manageable for dual sharing. The messes are also good, there are total of 6 mess with contractors hence the fee of mess varies for different mess (ranging from 3200/month to 3700/month). The food quality is good but still do not match the home made food.

Placement and job opportunity is good in this college around 60% placed before start of 7th semester and 90% placed till end of 8th semester. Various company like Amazon , tcs , infosys , etc visit the campus. Highest package till now is 44 lpa and average is 6.5 lpa

The placement is quite quite good as year on years recently the placement was goes 57LPA to 75LPA and teh avg was 7-8LPA and median is 10LPA something. The college have 100% placement record every year and they also give grants and loans for students who wants to startup. But the internship support is zero like college are only focused on placement they are not foucing on internship.

I would like to say there are more job openings and internship programmes we had than a private college for both Graduates and Masters students. job openings in TCS/ banks and industries too. The thing is you need to put effort to grab a good opportunity. attain placements opening whenever you got notification from college groups. be prepared. ask your teacher to clear more doubts. However, I am the one who already had a job so I did not take from there because I was working in tech mahindra and its work from home in my favourate feild.

If you are focused on your studies you can get really good opportunities here as companies like accenture,TCS, Wipro and Tata Mahindra come here every year and many more companies too. The college provides training and placement classes from 2nd year onwards.

MBBS a rollercoaster ????

MBBS is concerned there is no issue with placement. As none of the doctors are jobless. And obviously placements are good one can work in well esteemed organization after just MBBS but more people prefer to opt PG course.
