I chose this particular college due to the city of Mumbai and the exposure of High Court and law firms. There was interview conducted during the admission process. Admission is solely based on marks scored in MHCET exam . Every year the cut-off varies according to the difficulty level of the exam. There are three to four rounds conducted and in every round, a list of students is released by the different colleges who get selected in that particular college.
SVKM's PGCL follows the curriculum allotted by Mumbai University. The college is doing great with in respect of academics, there are both permanent and visiting faculty, some of the faculties are outstanding, their focus is not only restricted to covering their part of syllabus but they do help me extra-curricular activities, cv building, practical experience of the outside legal world.
I have done five to six internships previously but I have applied for all of them on my own. They were in diverse areas of law like NPO's , law firm, research internships, internship with Advocates. I do not rely on placement cell for internships because they rarely provide internships for the students and most of the internships provided by the college are long-term internships which students generally do not prefer till the penultimate year.
The college do have a placement cell and every year the college do provide placements but they are not worthy of taking up as they barely provide 4 LPA whereas the students pay 66000 to the college. The college has a very poor placement cell. The students have to work on their own and mostly have to find jobs off campus .
Tuition Fees 59460 Development Fees 6540 Total Fees 66000 No Scholarship and management quota available for students in this particular college. This college is a linguistic minority college. The students of outside Maharashtra only have 10 percent reservation available for this course.
The college frequently conducts fests, sports events, moot court competitions, debate competitions, MUN. The college has various committees to manage these events. The college has all the essential facilities including library, lab, canteen, restrooms, medical room, court rooms etc.
The college do not have hostel facility but there are paying guest accommodation available near the college but they cost a lot to the students. The students of this college generally prefer to stay a little far from the college due to the cost of the PG"s available near the college.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .

There are the lowest 3LPA and highest 6LPA packages are offered by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BOAT, SBI , Ultra Tech, Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Students have to maintain their SGPA up to 8.0 CGPA.
