Maharashtras Course and curriculum is designed and managed bu SPPU and it is very easy as compared to other states course and curriculum. Faculty here are good there is no problem regarding teaching staff here, Also they teach well and good totally understandable. They use good teaching techniques like making models, assignments, etc.But after all that if we don't complete our work on time then you might face some bad consequences ????. So one semister has 2 exams the first one is the INSEM and the other is ENDSEM. Sem stands for semister. And we have marking at half of the semister and at the end of the semister.
As mentioned earlier we have to look for our internships by our selves. Our college doesn't provide any internship oroviding facility. At internship we get a stipend about 3000-8000 depending on the firm.
Our college doesn't provide any placements fron their side we have to look by our own. So, this course is of 5 years 4 years if learning and 1 year for internship and theis. Soo we have to looke for any good architecture firm in final year and we have to do internship there for 1 year ans well as prepare for thesis. After getting the bachelor degree we need to work with an architect as a junior architect or prepare for masters. I my self is going for masters abroad.
The total fee is 1,30,000? and its constant, doesn't increase every year. Also you can avail benifits of all government schemes such as OBC, EBC, SC, ST, SBC, etc. As I got admission under general category so my fees was 1,27,000.. something so its not more than 1,30,000. But as I qualify for the EBC category by exact applicable fee is 67,310?. Same fees are applicable for OBC category, that is 67,310?. But for SBC it is around 18-20K ? and for SC,ST it is around 8-10K ?. These are all the applicable fee according to their category. Also you shoud have proper documents such as Cast certificate and Caste validity.
Campus life is good. The biggest event the conduct every year is the MALHAR fest which is celebrated every year in January or February.. Also Independence day , republic day , foundation day, sports week are also carried out here. Talking specifically about our college it doesn't seem like an architecture college as it is just a box type building and white paint every where nothing interesting and inspiring. But we are trying to make it intresting by putting our efforts and do something for the college and for the upcomming students. Comming to amenities, there are water dispenser and toilets on every floor, moderate size library with around 5000 books, Wifi installed in the building, projectors in every studio, and Smart board and good computer system for learning softwares, also we have carpenter workshops, climatology lab, material lab, boys and girls common room.
I have not opted for the hostel but I talked with my one of the friend. He said hostel rooms and facilities are okay amd average not that good. Instead they rented a flat and staying there currently. Food quality in the mess is good no problem with the food. But there are problems like powercut , bad water for washing clothes. There are the 2 major issues. Rest they have wifi in hostels on all floors, Common washing machine facility, RO UV cold water filters.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
