- College is very friendly teachers are very nice to students they teach like they are friends.
- Students who are seniors behave very polite to new comers or new admission students this is the most positive point of this college such a friendly Student councils.
Dislikes
- People only come here for passing there time, parents are sending them to college for studying and they come and sit in the ground as attendance is not very compulsory.
- No sports, no career gaining activities are performed.
Remarks :
I have choosen this DAV PG College Dehradun because they were not having target of attendance so it was beneficial for me as i want to opt for Civil Services so, side by side i was doing BA and Preparation for Exams. Everyone is so helpful you will never find any difficulty for knowing anything Everyone is in group sometimes fight occurs between college groups Admission Process is very Easy, go on to the site of DAV, you'll find a form to fill, Fill it with required documents and details and submit it. take a print out of it. After Cutoff has been declared, bring those printed form and photocopy of required documents and submit it manually to the College and later in 3-5 Days Fee Submitting Site will open. submit the fees and bring that fee slip to the college and submit it in office and take your ID Card. Admission is done start your class
Course Curriculum Overview :
I have choose this course because i was studying for Exams which are presented by Government for Civil Services Faculty is affiliated with HNBGU and Teaching could be better if teachers are active, they are good but sometimes they are also not very much interested but its okay to study. Term Exams were held in every 6 months, including External Exams aswell as Internal Exams, Difficulty level was Medium not very hard not very easy, question are asked according to the students capability.
Internships Opportunities :
They have not provided any internships or opportunities in this college. Yes we can be a teacher become something related Banks, become something related Law and Order, but you have to manually search for work there is no college placement.
Placement Experience :
There was no placement opportunities or anything, this college is basically for those who wants to do their graduation and prepare for competitive exams. There was courses like BA,MA, BCOM, MCOM, B'ED, LLB, BALLB Asked above question are not valid if there is no placement in this college sorry for that, But my plans after getting the Degree is go for UPSC Exam.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
First of all, it's government college so fees is not much, i am from Gernal Category so my fees was like Admission Fees Nothing 1st Year Rs. 1360 (Including Tution Fees) Examination Fees was Rs. 750 Admission Fee was Rs.950 2nd Year Rs. 1360 (Tution Fee Included) Examination Fees was Rs.750 Admission Fee was Rs.950 3rd Year Rs. 1360 (Tution Fee Included) Examination Fees was Rs.750 Other Categories Like OBC, SC, ST and Others Examination Fees was same as 750 But in Tution Fees they are getting discount of Rs. 150-200 1st Year Rs.1100 2nd Year Rs.1100 3rd Year Rs.1100
Campus Life :
Campus is okay, not very expensive things are installed, people are very much active towards other student or any new junior student. They are helpful, they are not like other college students they don't do ragging and all. It's safe for a Student who is introvert. Fest held in every September of year. They don't have any name of Fest. Books are easily available you can Issue a book from library if books are not available in library infront of college there are many book sellers who provide new books aswell as Second hand. This college is basically for Politics, sports are performed but not in a way like others colleges do, its nice for being active and healthy not for competitive matchs. There is a Group name ABVP, SATYAM SHIVAM GROUP and many more, they are basically run by Student Councils.
Hostel Facilities :
There was no hostel in this college nor a Hostel Mess, so we can't say anything about Hostels, yes we can have PG's near college they are very cheap and friendly and food is also not so expensive. Below middle class family could easily afford the daily expenses of that student if he eats from outside. As there was no hostel, in this form you have asked for Hostel Fees, i have written the fees of Private P.G's which are very near from the college. And they charge 2000-3000 per student per month, so i have written 30000 Per Year.

Placement Experience :
Companies do come here for placements and many students get placed as well but there's always the student factor as not everyone deserves to be placed either. My seniors are getting placed at 8.7 to 40 lpa specially the mba courses are getting placed higher.

To sit for placements, the students have to be in 3 semester. Few famous companies that came in for placements are HCL, Tech Mahindra, ICICI, ANZ, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The highest package this year went up to 40 LPA and average package was 8.7 LPA. Around 95% of students got placed this year. For me I want to work in corporate for a few years then I want to pursue my PHD side by side.

I would say the college really provides wide opportunities to the specialization courses, as I preferred to go for further studies, but my batchmates got placed in good environmental industries because of the Degree.

Placements are very good. Placement criteria is based on cgpa and student behaviour. Good cgpa and no back allowed you to sit in placement. Highest package is 1.24 cr and average package is 4lpa. About 60% students get placed per year from campus. Tech Mahindra, TCS, wipro, Deloitte HCL etc companies visited fir placement.
