I got my govt seat through KCET, I wrote KCET exam and got eligible rank. This college has greatest name all over Karnataka and it is knows as the top college of Karnataka. After writing the exam I had to go through 3 rounds of counselling where I was allotted my desired course seat in first round itself.
I chose this course because I wanted to get into industrial robotics. The faculties here, majority of them are very experienced and knowledgeable most of them have really great teaching skills. Academic calender of the sem is given in the begining of the semester. The difficulty level of exams is basic level things don't go advanced. If you are done with the notes, you'll score 100%.
Since past 2-3 years we usually get holidays of around a week or two after each sem which really doesn't leave us with any window to try for any internships. We have center of excellences here where college has done collaboration with companies like Mercedes, Toyota, Bosch etc and offer internships in college campus itself. All we have to do is pay some money and get the internship and learn nothing.
This college has its name because of its placements in core courses. Majority of college don't promise this good core placement. We have centre of excellences here where you can get internship by paying. Or else there are a lot of companies coming here for in campus placements. So overall placements are far better than any other college in Karnataka.
Yearly fee (Cet fee- 97000, Skill lab fee-20000, exam fee-4000) The fee is different for different quotas, cet students have 97k few by cet but extra 25000 approx is taken in the name of skill lab by college. Students with income certificate pay upto 800rs + skill lab fee. Comedk students have to pay 2.5lacs only for tution and extra fee for other things
Campus life is just fine. I am not that much of a roaming person so I usually spend my time in my hostel room so I don't feel much about the small campus. The campus is just of right size that you don't feel it hard moving around. Coming to fests there are not many fests as other college coz this college is majorly academics focused. We have a fest called '8th mile' which is organised every 2nd year. You'll get to small small functions happening twice or thrice a year.
Hostel is just fine but expensive for what the fee is asked. The in 1st year was 1.2lakh and had an increase of 25k and is 1.45lakh now. You'll get only veg food. Everything tastes same. You'll definitely get bored of it in a week or two. But since it's in a city like Bengaluru, you have access to all the food delivery apps. The boys hostel closes at 10pm, nobody can get out. Girls hostel closes at around 7pm. The pgs nearby are expensive coz of the demands.
For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc, shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview
There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students
The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.
the average package is 6 lpa and highest is 14 lpa and there is a placement cell that helps students to get placed. the placement rate of our college is 90%. and the companies come to our college is tcs, tech mahindra, infotech, zelethra, wipro etc.
I got placed in a company called Glory Infinity Private Limited, there other offers from The math school infosys ultratech every student had multiple offers from company. Not A very high packages but good opportunities
The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum
The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.
All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
