So basically I came from the Exam COMEDK, with a rank of 237, it is the best college for that exam, but is actually not that worth it. they take more kids from management but the croud is nice. they take kids from KCET too. I chose this college as this was the only place I got cse which was kind of better than VIT or MIT( Manipal ) I studied basic class 11th and 12th CBSE syllabus and did fairly well there. Prepared for the joint entrance exam JEE for the iits and nits. the cutoff for this college is very high like you need to get around 99 percentile to get into this college.
the course curriculum is not that good in my opinion, the college is very proud on its syllabus and the autonomous style of teaching that they have but its not that practical the college focuses much on the theoretical part rather than the actual learning. the teachers don't try that hard for students to learn, the management of the college is extremely bad, like very very bad. they exam structure and the overall teaching experience is just nit what you as a student would look for. the teachers are not that friendly and expect you to know a lot of things before hand. and if you are an active student like me you need to keep shut almost all the time.
no as I am a 1st year student I am not eligible for internships right now. but as I have heard before the college has an internship committee that provides students help and guidance for them to make a CV.
as I am currently in the 1 st year but as I have heard the placements are pretty good. the students get placed in really nice startups and companies the highest salary went upto 70Lacs last year and is moving ahead.
For Undergraduate program(B.E.) total 4 years fees ranges from 12Lakhs to 68Lakhs and it exceeds according to the donation and all depending on your sources for management quota for COMEDK they take around 2.8 lakhs per year. they take around 32k from the comedk students while registration and 53k from the management ones they take kids depending on sources that their parents have and the students coming from Karnataka, KCET have a fairly lesser fee. the fees for CSE with any specialisation is very high. they take 10k as lab fees from all the kids but is already included somewhere in the official fee. there is a scholarship criteria but to avail that is. very big hassle and something which is only available for Karnataka students.
there is no campus so there is no campus life. you come attend the classes, see if any clubs have a workshop or anything and just go back to your room, the hostel timings are very bad, the girl's hostel closes at 6:30pm. the library is kind of nice but can be elevated more. the whole campus is sort of under construction and needs to be fixed fast. the pathway is not that well maintained and its a very problematic thing. the clubs are active and that is a nice thing you can probably make good friends but finding like minded people is a lil difficult. you find smart people but they are not fun and the fun people are just too dumb for you to talk to.
So the hostel is pretty bad, you don't get good food. the timings for the girls hostel is messed up and for the boys it's not very early but is very strict. there is no washing machine to clean your clothes so its better just to take a pg nearby and be happy there. this is not a hostel life kind of college you need to settle for a little less and have a contempt life.
There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students
The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. All the faculties are extremely well qualified from top institutions of the world and they are all extremely approachable and nice. The term exams we had were split like CP1, CP2, and CP3 of 20+25+25 marks each. They were some easy ones, and some application based, which develops the engineering thinking mindset
