I found about this college through friends and then I searched a bit of it online and google gave the best colleges in Pune list where Indira was in the top 30. We had an online written exam and there were zero difficulty being a new student here, it was a very interesting day once I joined the college. The faculty stands well educated and friendly with very supportive students and helping bhaiya and didis. It overall is a very good experience being here.
I wanted a career in the directing sector of the industry, hence I chose Indira’s MASS MEDIA MANAGEMENT program where all the faculty members are very well aware of what and how they are doing it. There are timely exams after every 6 months. The syllabus is vast and yet completed on timely basis by the teachers. Every faculty member and HODs are always there to clarify doubts of all the students if any. Study materials are provided to the students early too.
There are several internships by the placement department in the college, I did social media handling, digital marketing and even video editing as internship opportunities where I was paid too. So Indira is filled with opportunities for everyone.
Campus placements take place after the 4th semester that is the 2nd year of college with vast options like Bajaj finance, production houses, amazon, airtel and a lot of esteemed workplaces, we have to do a 3 month internship for being able to attend the placement cell’s program. The packages are good in terms of being a fresher around 3-4 lacs per annum.
100000 per year and 10000 for out of Maharashtra students extra. Hence (330000 for 3 year course) 100000 for Maharashtra board students There are no scholarships as per my knowledge and no extra charges everything is included in the college tuition fee
Being a media student it is very lively in the campus with a lot of fun activities and fests here and there. There are several clubs for each of the sections and specialisations with amazing venues to showcase talents.
I haven’t applied for any hostels here, but they are average in terms of their prices and locality. I live in a flat with a few roommates here, the food tiffin systems are provided by almost everyone here, but we make our own food.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
