- Campus life is very indulging here and beautiful campus.
- Faculties here are easily reachable and very supporting.
Dislikes
- The campus is build in outskirts of Gandhinagar which creats connectivity problem.
- Sometimes semesters can become very hectic.
Remarks :
Specifically talking about Mechanical Branch, IITGn have great professors, labs, staffs and diverse research work going on which promotes students for doing research work. Everyone have to opt for JEE Advanced examination to get enrolled into IITs. I got a decent rank in JEE and after having many discussions with some seniors and my professors, we can to conclude that IIT Gn Mechanical engineering will be the best option for me.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I had interests in machines from the beginning and wanted to make a career out of it. Iitgn provides students with a diverse curriculum which gave us exposure to the most of the possible fields of Mechanical engineering. All the activities are well planned over the semester and are conducted timely.
Internships Opportunities :
CDS also handles the internship communications. Many well established companies offer internship opportunities to the students of 3rd year and 2nd year. The stipend paid is also decent varying from 20000-250000
Placement Experience :
Career Development Service, CDS, is a body which handles placement and internship communication between the students and the companies. Highest package received by a student this year is of 6400000. He got placed at Zomato. And least package was of 800000.
Campus Life :
Iitgn have very beautiful campus besides the bank of the river Sabarmati. Other non academic activities are conducted by the students body in a timely manner over the year. Cultural festival of Iitgn, Blithchron, I organised by the students body yearly. Iitgn have smart classrooms and library with 25000 books. Sports culture is prominent here. Students are promoted to play and maintain physical fitness. Hostel here are very well maintained and facilities provided are very good.

there are good big company placement. The placement package is 1 to 5 lakhs in one year A senior got a placement in an intel company with a maximum salary of five lakhs. if you want to get placement in good company no block should come till 5th semester and your cgpi should be 7 to 8 up .

Course Curriculum Overview :
SVNIT Surat offers BTECH and MTECH curriculum in various courses like computer science, electronics, electrical, mechanical, civil, chemical. it also has courses like INTEGRATED Msc in Phy, chem and maths. Most of the professor here hold PHD degree. Some are really good. Two exam is conducted in one semester,(mid sem and end sem).

Placement Experience :
5% of students are getting placed every year in good and well-reputed companies with decent packages. Packages starting from 3LPA to 9LPA the candidate is getting paid according to the knowledge and skills they have. From the 6th semester onwards the students are getting trained for getting placement in the training and development cell.
