the location of the college is good as it very near to metro station as well as bus stand. and also it is located in south delhi in lajpat nagar. the fees of the college is very low and you get a degree from DU which holds a lot of value. the admission process was simple. you only had to give a CUET exam and make a preference list of colleges and you would be allotted the college as per the list. the cut off for my course was around 670+/800. i took online coaching and read ncert books to prepare for the entrance exam.
i chose this course because i wanted to gain in depth knowledge about commerce and related fields. the faculty is very experienced and very well qualified but most of them stick to teach only from the textbooks without practical knowledge. the exams are held after every semester and are not very difficult. you can easily pass the exams by studying only one day.
the placement and job opportunities for our course is fine. campus placement helps students in finding job opportunities or internships. the eligibility criteria varies from company to company but usually they want students without any repeat in any paper and CGPA to be atleast 7. EY is one of the major recruiters. highest package was around 12lakh this year and average was around 4lpa. around 50% of students applying get an offer. i plan to expand my family business.
the tuition fees of the college is to be paid on yearly basis. apart from this a fee for the examination has to be paid before every exams i.e. every semester which is usually between 1500-2000 only. apart from this no other fees is to be paid to the college. there is no scholarships offered as the fees is already very affordable for most students.
the fest is held but is not very great. only a DJ will be called and no special singer or celebrity like other colleges. though the fest organised by commerce society was great and called two very famous comedians to perform. the infrastructure is old and not up to the mark, but you can't complain much when the fees is only 14500rupees. there are plenty of sports, games, clubs/societies and activities on the campus. the commerce society is known as commercium which is pretty famous in DU.
there is no hostel facility provided by the college and the students have to find a pg or flat on their own. there are a lot of pg and flats available in vinobapuri and nehru nagar which are very near to the college but the prices are a little on the higher side according to me. but students can find very affordable options if they move a bit far from college towards lajpat nagar or east of kailash. i live in east of kailash and the rent is 7k per person only for the room (excluding food, cleaning, cook, electricity etc)
Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog
PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.
The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
du sol provides placement in news 18, aaj tak and job opportunities as according to the course of student pursuing. just visit to du sol north campus head quarter ask for the facility they will provide . bad thing is they dont provide on regular basis.
The placement cell is quite active. There are always placement and internship fairs every year and even other college students can join them. The placement recruiters are from top companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc. Although, not every one gets in these companies but then, there are other companies as well like Finshots, Voice Your Vichaar, etc. The average package is 3LPA and highest package is 8LPA.
talking about placement opportunities many companies come to campus including google microsoft to core companies like texas instruments and bajaj giving a decent job opportunity. each one with a cgpa of more than 7 easily grasp job with pay of more than 12 lpa and people with decent cgpa of more than 8 grasp top jobs in the campus
