This college is allotted to me in the CAP allotment round on the basis of preferences given by me. I have preferred this college because it was one of the renowned colleges in the university of Pune.i have not faced any type of group discussion, interviews or written tests for the admission.
I have chosen electrical engineering because electrical is the core branch and it has huge scope in the future. All the faculty members in our department were qualified with Master in engineering and equivalent courses but none of them was practically sound.
No I have not applied for any internship neither the college was offering any opportunity as an intern there are several projects for mechanical engineering such as quad torque, supra Baha etc but none of them available for electrical engineering students
Placement opportunities were different for different courses mechanical engineering and computer engineering has many companies for the placements but electrical engineering has only 2-3 companies for the placements i have passed aptitude test and group discussion round but failed in the interview for akanksha electricals during our placement
There is 96000/- rupees per year for open category being an OBC student I have paid 50% that is 48000/- rupees per year same for all the four years. This amount includes admission fees, tuition fees, registration fees, development fees and lab fees.
The annual fest name is Amrut mahotsava. There are ample books available in the library.all the sports related activities were good. Canteen and many options for mess in the campus.campus has a beautiful garden
There were two hostels for the boys namely sajjangad and Sinhgad. I was admitted sajjangad hostel for first two years and later I went for private room outside the campus at saiplaza and locality was good we have a sugar factory near our college we used to visit the factory premises several times.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
