- the campus life is good and we are provided with lots of opportunity to grow. Maitreyi college is an only girls college so there is an opportunity at every step. If you are a girl and want to know about the real struggle during college fests then you should definitely join maitreyi college. As all the work here is done by females you get to learn a lot of new things which you could not learn in an co-ed college.
- The college campus is very peaceful and quite. There are lots of gardens and trees which makes the campus even more beautiful. You will not expect this much greenery in a delhi college. The locality is also very pretty and green so there is less pollution around the campus.
Dislikes
- Commerce faculty is very undisciplined. They cancel classes very often without any prior notice. They do not focus on learning they only want to do their duty which is completing the syllabus.
- Some classes do not have air conditioner which makes it very difficult to attend classes during summer and during peak noon.
Remarks :
I wanted an only girls college and maitreyi was one of the best women's college in delhi. I also wanted the college campus to be safe and my college is very safe and even it's location is pretty good. The college campus is also very pretty and peaceful. We have lots of garden in the campus and air conditioned classrooms. The only bad thing about the college is the faculty of commerce is not that serious and they cancel classes very often without any prior notice. I admission process only consist of an online council in which you have to fill your preferences among all the delhi university college's and the one which matches your CUET score and your preference will be allotted to you. There is no group discussion or interview rounds. The entire admission is based on CUET score so make sure to be prepared for CUET. CUET is common university entrance test which is conducted by the national testing agency every year after board exams. The syllabus for CUET is same as the boards.
Course Curriculum Overview :
My course is bcom and the curriculum is very well defined and structured. I choose bcom because I am a commerce enthusiast and I also studied commerce in class 12th. One drawback is the faculty. The commerce faculty is not very disciplined and they cancel class very often. Also they do not emphasize on learning rather they only want to complete the syllabus and most of the time students are left on their own. You will have to study by yourself and you can't rely on teachers. The exams was slightly difficult but they were conducted timely.
Internships Opportunities :
I have opted for green bhumi internship. It is an online internship program which is unpaid. The role is an hr assist in this we are supposed to have good communication skills and basic knowledge of excel. We have not started the work yet but we will begin with the internship soon.
Placement Experience :
The college provides average placements. The college has its own placement cell which provides training and internship opportunities. Every year around 200 students are placed in companies like Accenture, delloit, kpmg, Amazon etc. The highest package for the bacth of '24 was 18 lpa. The average package was around 6-7 lpa. There is no eligibility criteria for placement but you will have to maintain a very good cgpa and a very good attendance record. My plan after getting an undergraduate degree is to go for higher education in India.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The yearly fee is ?12500 and it will increase a little bit year by year and it will be around ?60k for the entire three year course. The registration fee was ?12500 only which was also the tution fee. I registered through CUET and the registration for the CSAS portal was ?250 for me. We do not have any type of extra fee in the college. But the college hostel fee is ?15500 per month. I have not opted for college hostel so that is not applicable on me.
Campus Life :
Campus life here at maitreyi is great. There's a lot of space to grow as a person. Also there are lots and lots of societies which you can join according to your passion. The societies of maitreyi are very active and they organise various events on regular basis. Conferences, seminars and quizzes happens on daily basis. Every society of the college has a separate annual and semi annual events. The annual fest of maitreyi college which is called Rapsody is conduct every year in the month of january and it is only of the most successful fest in delhi university. The library of college is quite impressive. It provides you evey resource and it has an E-LIBRARY where you can use computers. The college also has an online library where the study material is provided for free. Maitreyi college also has it's own mobile application for the college students it's called "uniWay" It's designed only for students and all the information about exams and practical are provided there.
Hostel Facilities :
I haven't opted for hostel but the my foreigner friends who are living in college hostel tell that the food is not that good. But the hostel rooms are very spacious. The college hostel also has a common room and indoor games facility. To apply for hostel you have to visit the official website of college there you will find some forms you have to fill and mail all the form to hostel mail. If you are selected then you will have to submit a hard copy of the same. The college hostel is quite expensive compared to the pg's in the locality. I am living in a rented room it's close to the college. Also the metro station is very close to my room. My room is about one kilometre away from the college and it takes about 15 minutes to reach college by foot. The locality is quite peaceful and it's not very unsafe.

But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college

Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.

du sol provides placement in news 18, aaj tak and job opportunities as according to the course of student pursuing. just visit to du sol north campus head quarter ask for the facility they will provide . bad thing is they dont provide on regular basis.

The placement recruiters are from top companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc. Although, not every one gets in these companies but then, there are other companies as well like Finshots, Voice Your Vichaar, etc. The average package is 3LPA and highest package is 8LPA.
