Likes
- The labs and library are very good and the availability of recourse.
- Most of the faculty members are nice and helpful.
Dislikes
- Some faculty members are strict and there are lots of rules and regulations.
- You won't get any freedom to leave classes and enjoy your college life.
Remarks :
There is no group discussion, interviews or written test for admission. You just has to complete your documentation and submit your fees then you will be considered as a student of shivalik College. I chose this college because it is affordable and it is near my house so it is easy to travel .
Course Curriculum Overview :
The faculty members are qualified from the top universities but only few are good at teaching any concept. I choose this course because of high demand of computer language in upcoming time. If you are a studios person then you will be able to clear the exam easily. The exams are little bit harder. Term exams are taken every 2 months
Internships Opportunities :
I have not opted for any internship and I have seen some students getting internship in a platform which is linked with our college named EXPLORIN but most of the students have done internship by their own.
Placement Experience :
The placements are offered by the companies if the students fulfill their criteria. Atleast 6 cgpa is required to get permission to sit in a placement. There are not so many big recruiters. The highest package given in the year 2023-24 wal 36 lpa by autodesk
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
College fees is nearly around 8 lakhs per year including the hostel. Fees has increased from the last year. This college is affordable in respect to other neighbouring colleges. Some extra charges you have to submit for example: uniform fees , fees related to extra curricular activities and transportation charges.
Campus Life :
Campus area is decent but the number of students is much. Spots are held once in a while and there are not so much extra curricular activities. Main focus is towards the study. In the year 2024 a feast was conducted in the month of April in which Salman Ali was invited. Students are not very socially active they are happy on their own. Library and Labs are the main attraction for a first time visitor . Books are available every time and you can also study using computer in the library. Every subject is having specific lab.

Placement Experience :
Companies do come here for placements and many students get placed as well but there's always the student factor as not everyone deserves to be placed either. My seniors are getting placed at 8.7 to 40 lpa specially the mba courses are getting placed higher.

the placement support at DBS has been one of the best strongest aspects of my experience. the university regularly organized internship and live project, mock interview, aptitude training and industry interaction to prepare students for placements.
Underrated university for pursuing Management courses
Placement Experience :
To sit for placements, the students have to be in 3 semester. Few famous companies that came in for placements are HCL, Tech Mahindra, ICICI, ANZ, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The highest package this year went up to 40 LPA and average package was 8.7 LPA. Around 95% of students got placed this year. For me I want to work in corporate for a few years then I want to pursue my PHD side by side.

College have decent placement percentage which is ofcourse higher than other local colleges near by.Our college have avg package around 6LPA and every year big companies like TCS visit our college for recruitment offering good packages.

I am preparing for other services currently but yes the college do provide good opportunities for future, even the college has good record in placement for AME, BHM, BCA, PHARMACY courses. Majority of students apply for further studies in our course.

I would say the college really provides wide opportunities to the specialization courses, as I preferred to go for further studies, but my batchmates got placed in good environmental industries because of the Degree.

Placements are very good. Placement criteria is based on cgpa and student behaviour. Good cgpa and no back allowed you to sit in placement. Highest package is 1.24 cr and average package is 4lpa. About 60% students get placed per year from campus. Tech Mahindra, TCS, wipro, Deloitte HCL etc companies visited fir placement.

I choose this course mainly because I wanted to pursue marketing for quite some time as I am extremely extroverted person. The faculty here are pretty well qualified atleast the ones who have taught me they really take interest in making everyone interact and share opinions
