You have to give an all India exam called NCHMCT-JEE and then a merit list comes and IHM PUSA is ranked no.1 in that so if you’re lucky you get into IHM PUSA. You have to be all India rank 290-300 or less to get into the college if you are from the general category. Bad aspects are the campus, it is very very small and all the experienced faculty has retired so all we have are teachers with very less experience. The average placement is around 3-5 LPA in you get into hotels as a management trainee and that’s above industry standard for a freshe. But you can also land a job with 6-9 LPA in retail or sales. The exposure is immense and the placement percentage is also good in my opinion.
The curriculum involves studying four core subjects for all the 6 semester I.e, food production, housekeeping, front office and food and beverage, in addition to these we have 2-3 ancillary subjects every semester such as accounts, hotel engineering, nutrition, etc.
I joined HYATT REGENCY as an industrial trainee to complete my mandatory industrial training in my 3rd semester. It was a learning opportunity with a lot of physical hard work. I worked in all four core departments I.e, kitchen, F&b service, housekeeping and front office
We have to do a 4 month compulsory industrial training and most of the students get placed in that from our college itself and about placement I have talked in my above answers . The average package is between 4-5 LPA AND highest is 8-9 LPA
For odd semester around 60-65 thousand college fees and around 10-15 thousand ignou fees and in even semester only 55-60 thousand college fees. I personally don’t know much about any scholarships offered by my college.
The campus is very small with no physical sports or games except for one sports day. Library is enough for a hotel management student. There are clubs in college which take care of all the cultural activities of the college.
IGNOU offers limited direct campus placement opportunities, but the degree is widely recognized and helps improve employability. Students mainly secure jobs through off-campus applications, competitive exams, or by upgrading their skills. The flexible learning system allows learners to work, prepare for higher studies, or pursue professional certifications alongside their course. IGNOU also conducts periodic placement drives through its Campus Placement Cell.
The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.
The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.
Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog
PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.
The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
