- Campus life is good as you can make friends from almost all-over the country and the campus life along with students from different cultures add up some more spices in your college life
- Some faculties are really very good and they teach you in a such a way that you would really love and appreciate, adding up their own personal experience in their teachings.
Dislikes
- The infrastructure is quite simple is not much modern, the college canteen is also quite simple.
- The sports grounds and facilities are not given much attention and proper maintenance is also not done.
Remarks :
The addmission procedure was quite simple, i gave a telephonic interview in which i was asked about some general knowledge questions and questions related to CLAT syllabus. I chose this college as it is located in dehradun which is a very beautiful and peaceful city.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose BALLB as i had gained some interest in the law field during my CLAT preparations and i was known to the subjects which were to be taught in 1&2nd year. The teachers are NET qualified and mostly senior teachers were assigned to us who had an incredible experience over their respective subjects and they taught us in an interesting way by linking the syllabus to real life scenarios. The end-term exams are conducted every semester, i.e. in December and May, whereas Pre-mid, Mid-exams and post mid presentation/quiz are takenal after the commencement of every semester.
Internships Opportunities :
I've done 6 internships till now and i had applied for them atleast 2 months before joining or through personal contacts. Each law firm has it's own working and there are various departments in the law firms such as Dispute Resolution, Litigation, Arbitration, Research and others. Mostly Interns are given to research work and a lil-bit of drafting work as well. It's upto you in which field you've to work whether it's litigation or corporate or judiciary and have to work/study as per your interest.
Placement Experience :
There is a placement cell in the college which somehow helps and guides you in getting placements and internships. But the placements and internships provided are not upto the mark as the average package for a law student is less than 3lacs per annum. To avail the placement from the college, a student should have atleast 6 CGPA with no backlogs pending and no disciplinary action. The highest package provided in 2024 batch was around 8-9 lacs per annum and average package was around 3 lacs per annum. There are high chances of getting placements as the students applying for the college placement are not high in number. Law firms form Delhi, Ahemdabad, Hyderabad and other cities come over for the recruitment. I've also applied for the college placement.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The total tution fees for a normal student is 130000 per year, whereas scholarship upto 36000 can be availed depending upon your 12th class marks and CGPA during the course. Whereas fees for a Uttrakhand domicile student is 120000 per year excluding scholarships. Scholarship for Parents in active duty and matryers or freedom fighters children is also provided to students.
Campus Life :
Life at campus is quite interesting and worth full of gaining life experiences as students from almost every states come to study in this university and cultural fests are conducted occassionally, but there is no such big university fest conducted. There are 2 libraries in college that are the law library and Central Library where thousands of books are kept and E-sources are given to study for a student. Sports fest is conducted every year and intra-college tournaments are conducted every semester. The main sports are Cricket, Football, Badminton, Volleyball and Basketball. There are various clubs such as cultural club, sports club, legal aid cell, moot court committee and other respective committees for different different societies and groups.
Hostel Facilities :
There is no such in-campus hostel in the university,but there are affiliated hostels nearby the campus and mostly students take PG/Flat/room as they are affordable and are easily available. There are several girls hostels nearby the campus and provide good accommodation to the students, whereby only a few boys hostels are available. There are various food mess nearby the college which provide affordable and good food.

Placement Experience :
Companies do come here for placements and many students get placed as well but there's always the student factor as not everyone deserves to be placed either. My seniors are getting placed at 8.7 to 40 lpa specially the mba courses are getting placed higher.

the placement support at DBS has been one of the best strongest aspects of my experience. the university regularly organized internship and live project, mock interview, aptitude training and industry interaction to prepare students for placements.
Underrated university for pursuing Management courses
Placement Experience :
To sit for placements, the students have to be in 3 semester. Few famous companies that came in for placements are HCL, Tech Mahindra, ICICI, ANZ, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The highest package this year went up to 40 LPA and average package was 8.7 LPA. Around 95% of students got placed this year. For me I want to work in corporate for a few years then I want to pursue my PHD side by side.

College have decent placement percentage which is ofcourse higher than other local colleges near by.Our college have avg package around 6LPA and every year big companies like TCS visit our college for recruitment offering good packages.

I am preparing for other services currently but yes the college do provide good opportunities for future, even the college has good record in placement for AME, BHM, BCA, PHARMACY courses. Majority of students apply for further studies in our course.

Agriculture department is all about Internships and we have good collaborations with various institutions and training labs for polishing the hands on practical. The college provide good opportunities of works. The departments like AME, BCA, IT, BHM has good placement record.

I would say the college really provides wide opportunities to the specialization courses, as I preferred to go for further studies, but my batchmates got placed in good environmental industries because of the Degree.

Placements are very good. Placement criteria is based on cgpa and student behaviour. Good cgpa and no back allowed you to sit in placement. Highest package is 1.24 cr and average package is 4lpa. About 60% students get placed per year from campus. Tech Mahindra, TCS, wipro, Deloitte HCL etc companies visited fir placement.

I choose this course mainly because I wanted to pursue marketing for quite some time as I am extremely extroverted person. The faculty here are pretty well qualified atleast the ones who have taught me they really take interest in making everyone interact and share opinions

There are good placement and job opportunities are there in off campus placement because there are many sites whivh provide job and internships like inteshala and there are many other platforms to find the job and internships
