To be Frank I chose this college as my last resort because it is so easy to take admission in this college at first it would seem like some big higher institution but it is not. They ask for 65% aggregate percentage in my course but you can still get admission via management quota I think or something like that. They take donations too not to mention and it is common. I didn't had any other good options and even if there were the margin was negligible. Have no expectations for placement in this college. Take my BCA for example you are competing with not only BCA student around 400 this year, but also with MCA, BTECH, MTECH, BSC IT, BSC CS and their masters version. The possibility of placement is extremely low and only possible for those who have skill that match up to the industry levels which this college is nowhere near teaching. Honestly I can't point out a single positive thing about this college other than leisure and student life which is a seperate matter.
I chose this course to enter my respective professional field. I had no expectations for this college to teach me anything and I was right. I know they try to think of everyone and start at the very basics but their bacis started at what is a computer, input, output devices and such which is like 4th grader things. Honestly it felt like a joke we had to memorize the most useless things you can imagine for the mid terms which began in like a month of starting classes. Difficulty level cannot be judged solely on the basis of first exams but it was insanely easy. In the practicals we have to create PPTS in windows 7 in the era of AI. Apart from a few good natured and teachers who had industry level experience most of the teachers are young graduates either pursuing masters or something along those lines. Faculty for my class is abysmal, they put so much emphasis on bookish knowledge, have no understanding or empathy. Some even force us to take notes in college and get it checked.
As I said before have no expectations for placements in this college. As far as I remember the average package for BTech students is around 4Lpa and it is even less for BCA students. They flaunt many high packages like 80lakhs and such in big MNCs like Google, Nvidia but most of them clearly efforts of the students and college had little to no hands in it. Many students have gotten high packages and placement from this college but the chances for average students to get even half of it is a long shot. I also heard from my seniors that in BCA out of 90-150 an average of 5 students got placed last year. They don't even mention coruses like BCA. Everywhere you go you will only see Btech and Btech only even in their social media accounts. The criteria for sitting in placements is pretty strick too. It goes something along the lines of high attendance, a minimum of 8.0 CGPA or more and no grievances against the student and such.
You can see the detailed fee structure by going to their website and slecting the course. The general scholarships include 10% for girls and 5% for wards of defence personnel. After that you get % fee reduction according to your academic performance. (12th Agg. %)>=70 & <=74.99 CUET %ile >=70 & <=74.99 (12th Agg. %) >=75 & <=79.99 CUET %ile >=75 & <=79.99 (12th Agg. %) >=80 & <=84.99 CUET %ile >=80 & <=84.99 (12th Agg. %) >=85 & <=89.99 CUET %ile >=85 & <=89.99 (12th Agg. %) >=90 & <=94.99 CUET %ile >=90 & <=94.99 (12th Agg. %) >=95 CUET %ile >=95 To sum it up higher your percentage higher the fee reduction. And I don't think there are any fees reduction per categories like SC, ST. Also there is 5% fee reduction for yearly course payments. And for non maths students 10000 extra for 1st bridge course. My 1st total turned out to be 171000 as a non maths student. My friend were around the same although it varies with different specializations like AI DS and Cybersecurity.
It is the one of the good things about this college. They recognise all types of extracurriculars and give us freedom. At given moment something is going on the college like prepration for some events big for small, sports matches, club recruitments, etc. Everyday you see a tent or decoration like billboards for something new. They also allow eSports and gaming events as well as cultural activities. I have personally took part in a eSports event and it was a awesome experience along with going to various performances like singing, dancing etc. They also recognises their efforts and reward them accordingly from time to time too. Libraries are also great. There are many available inside and outside the campus as well. The availablity of books is also good.
Companies do come here for placements and many students get placed as well but there's always the student factor as not everyone deserves to be placed either. My seniors are getting placed at 8.7 to 40 lpa specially the mba courses are getting placed higher.
the placement support at DBS has been one of the best strongest aspects of my experience. the university regularly organized internship and live project, mock interview, aptitude training and industry interaction to prepare students for placements.
To sit for placements, the students have to be in 3 semester. Few famous companies that came in for placements are HCL, Tech Mahindra, ICICI, ANZ, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The highest package this year went up to 40 LPA and average package was 8.7 LPA. Around 95% of students got placed this year. For me I want to work in corporate for a few years then I want to pursue my PHD side by side.
College have decent placement percentage which is ofcourse higher than other local colleges near by.Our college have avg package around 6LPA and every year big companies like TCS visit our college for recruitment offering good packages.
I am preparing for other services currently but yes the college do provide good opportunities for future, even the college has good record in placement for AME, BHM, BCA, PHARMACY courses. Majority of students apply for further studies in our course.
Agriculture department is all about Internships and we have good collaborations with various institutions and training labs for polishing the hands on practical. The college provide good opportunities of works. The departments like AME, BCA, IT, BHM has good placement record.
I would say the college really provides wide opportunities to the specialization courses, as I preferred to go for further studies, but my batchmates got placed in good environmental industries because of the Degree.
Placements are very good. Placement criteria is based on cgpa and student behaviour. Good cgpa and no back allowed you to sit in placement. Highest package is 1.24 cr and average package is 4lpa. About 60% students get placed per year from campus. Tech Mahindra, TCS, wipro, Deloitte HCL etc companies visited fir placement.
I choose this course mainly because I wanted to pursue marketing for quite some time as I am extremely extroverted person. The faculty here are pretty well qualified atleast the ones who have taught me they really take interest in making everyone interact and share opinions
There are good placement and job opportunities are there in off campus placement because there are many sites whivh provide job and internships like inteshala and there are many other platforms to find the job and internships
