Honest review on GITAM University Bangalore

- There is a VDC department which deals with entrepreneurship. This cell provides an opportunity for student to cheese the students dream to reality by providing a seed fund also to do their own startup. This is the best cell that is present which does not only give the money for startups but give the correct guidance to do so.
- This is club called Codex which deals with the technical related events they conduct many sorts of events like hackathons, quizzes and different source of competition which in richest students interest in coding and gives more knowledge which will be gained by the webinar they take and this is completely done by the student to the student.
Dislikes
- Sometimes they charge more for unnecessary materials or platforms they want to offers students even without their interest. They make it compulsory if they try up with some other company.
- This is for the re attempt for the subject is costly. Many students fail in a subject sometimes because of the faculties mistake and this is the worst part we faced in our first semester.
Remarks :
I had attended for KCET it was held as an entrance exam for engineering seats, unfortunately I did not secure they required score so because of which I couldn't get the engineering seat in the desired college. Later all the colleges had finished with the management seats later I came across with this college and talk to the admission department and take try to help me out to figure out which course would suit me and I should the interest in BCA so which I choose to be here. As I already said they had an entrance exam for the college for which I did not attend because I came across later I join through the management seat without attaining any test. As BCA was the first batch in GITAM Bengaluru campus the fees was less and same for everyone.
Course Curriculum Overview :
When it comes to the curriculum academics and faculties gitam has got good score. This is because the faculties are well trained and teaches the subject thoroughly so that everyone understand and the weekly quizzes will be there enhancing the students learning abilities followed by the test and practicals in labs. I had a good mentors also assigned if we face any problem we could have said them to get it resolved. We also had an access to Coursera learning platform to get certifications followed by quizzes regarding the same.
Internships Opportunities :
I have adopted for an internship outside regarding the cor domain and non cor domain also. We did all free internships from Bharat intern, Oasis infobyte, Corizo. In technical roles I got as a web development, python development, and blockchain development. Non technical I got for the sales and marketing as a brand manager to represent the company in the campus. Both were a good experience for a student to get an understanding about the company culture and prior experience. And doing an internship is mandatory rule made by a government also so everyone has to offer at least one internship.
Placement Experience :
The highest package offered is 12 LPA and they average is 6 LPA. They do a replacement training by providing various platform access and regular practices and mock interviews and So on. The only problem was that before recession they had a good placement background over 200 + companies is to visit and everyone had a good package. They do not provide internship opportunities the student has to look for the internship opportunities outside.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
As it was our first BCA batch the fees was low 60000rs per year. Now for upcoming batches the fees has been increased. This also an half payment option available like you can pay per semester if one feels hard to pay entire fees of an year. The best part is from there is a entrance exam of gitam which if you attend and get selected they would be a fees concession available. Also fees of my friends were also same. This fees includes overall fees like admission fee love fees and other fees. Here the fees payment is completely online they have a portal through which they pay the fees.
Campus Life :
There are n number of events taking place. Many clubs are present to enrich student life. There are all various types of clubs and events takes place from the game still the technical hackathons. This also a library present which is most used by the students to study peacefully for the exams. The most shocking part is the library will always be full of students who are studying, coding and attending interviews. This also a ground present for students to play sports. There is also NCC NSS clubs present.
Hostel Facilities :
I haven't opted for a hostel but my friends did and from them I got to know that this is not that good to choose because it's too costly and the hostel mess is not good with the quality of food. You can just go to the hostel near there would get a Dean can just contact them and they will guide you for the entire process.

For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc,shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview

There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum

The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
BSc Physics at Jain University
Course Curriculum Overview :
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.

All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.

For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
