There is just minimum marks in 12th criteria for admission. For B.com it was 48% then in 2018. Other than that we don't have to write any entrance exam or face interviews. Admission is easy in this college if have more that 45% in 12th.
I chose to do B.com because I studied commerce in 12th and was interested in accounting more than in marketing so I chose B.com over BBA . Faculty members were good and experienced. Internal exams were being conducted on time just the problem was if you fail in internals you'll have to pay fine 500/subject then only you can seat in externals. We had problem with the management only otherwise faculty was very good.
No, the college didn't offered any internship to their students during the programme. I think it would be great if they start providing training to their students in the college itself, that would be very much beneficial
If you're looking for placement this college is definitely not meant for that. Placement was so poor that even after taking 8000 as placement fees they made us seat in just one placement drive and that too for field work. Paytm was there for hiring candidates for field work.
At the time of admission total yearly fees for the 1st year came around 62000 which was allowed to be paid in 2-3 installments. And for next two year it was 36000 per year + examination fees. The only bas thing was that being freshers in college we didn't know about university exam fees which I feel that it was duty of the college to tell us about it but they said we won't have to pay any other fee later, and then during exam time we got the news that we have to pay exam fees again which was a problem for us then as we didn't know about it. I request the admission cell to share every little fee details with the students and keep everything clear during admission time.
Infrastructure wasn't so good when I took admission, like we didn't have proper playground or park as it was shown in advertisiment. We wrote multiple emails to the management but everytime we got the same reply and 3 years passed just like that
I didn't choose to stay in hotel because I saw the rooms were too small and less facilities for the amount they were charging. I once ate from the hostel mess during admission and the food was not so good .
Companies do come here for placements and many students get placed as well but there's always the student factor as not everyone deserves to be placed either. My seniors are getting placed at 8.7 to 40 lpa specially the mba courses are getting placed higher.
the placement support at DBS has been one of the best strongest aspects of my experience. the university regularly organized internship and live project, mock interview, aptitude training and industry interaction to prepare students for placements.
To sit for placements, the students have to be in 3 semester. Few famous companies that came in for placements are HCL, Tech Mahindra, ICICI, ANZ, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The highest package this year went up to 40 LPA and average package was 8.7 LPA. Around 95% of students got placed this year. For me I want to work in corporate for a few years then I want to pursue my PHD side by side.
College have decent placement percentage which is ofcourse higher than other local colleges near by.Our college have avg package around 6LPA and every year big companies like TCS visit our college for recruitment offering good packages.
I am preparing for other services currently but yes the college do provide good opportunities for future, even the college has good record in placement for AME, BHM, BCA, PHARMACY courses. Majority of students apply for further studies in our course.
Agriculture department is all about Internships and we have good collaborations with various institutions and training labs for polishing the hands on practical. The college provide good opportunities of works. The departments like AME, BCA, IT, BHM has good placement record.
I would say the college really provides wide opportunities to the specialization courses, as I preferred to go for further studies, but my batchmates got placed in good environmental industries because of the Degree.
Placements are very good. Placement criteria is based on cgpa and student behaviour. Good cgpa and no back allowed you to sit in placement. Highest package is 1.24 cr and average package is 4lpa. About 60% students get placed per year from campus. Tech Mahindra, TCS, wipro, Deloitte HCL etc companies visited fir placement.
I choose this course mainly because I wanted to pursue marketing for quite some time as I am extremely extroverted person. The faculty here are pretty well qualified atleast the ones who have taught me they really take interest in making everyone interact and share opinions
There are good placement and job opportunities are there in off campus placement because there are many sites whivh provide job and internships like inteshala and there are many other platforms to find the job and internships
