- The college is one of the best college's in India, there's nothing to complain about but there should be good cricket facilities for the students.
- The college infrastructure is pretty nice,currently a new building is undergoing construction which will be our new Maths department Building.
Dislikes
- There are no proper coaching facilities for sports like cricket.
- And the food quality of the mess can be improved a little bit .
Remarks :
I wanted to pursue research and IISERs are one the top most institute in which you can fulfill your research dream to become a great scientist. I choosed IISER TVM because i wanted to away from Home its about 4000km away from my home. Good things about the college is you get almost top tier facilities which are received by all of the Indian Institute colleges + all of the professors here are greats of their respective fields.And all the professor are very friendly and easy to interact,you can't ask anything more of a college. To get into IISER TVM you have to give IISER aptitude test exam which is conducted by JAC and you have to score atleast 105+/240 to secure any IISER(if you are general),and you have to be under 3000 rank if you want to join IISER TVM,for reserved categories it becomes really easy because they can get in by very less numbers.To prepare for IAT you can refer to coaching platforms like Sciastra or else your Normal JEE preparation is enough just you have to study Bio.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choosed this course because i wanted to be researcher and it was perfect for me.Within the span lf 5 years, l am able to complete both my bachelor's and master's. The faculty here is top notch. Most of the professors have done their thesis and post doc from Foreign universities and they are one of the best in their respective fields.And most of the professor s are very much approachable and very generous towards students. The term exams happens like 1½ months after starting the semester and the level of exam is quite decent, everything that is taught in the class comes from that only. The teachers are very good and there's lot of professionalism in their teaching.
Internships Opportunities :
Most of the people in IISERs want to get Lab experience from internships.Because while applying for PhDs the professors will see that whether you have good lab skills or not.So most of the people go for lab internship. I have done an internship under a professor of my college on Synthesis of Nano Materials of Silver Derivative compounds under the professor Sukhendu Mandal.and also done a project on Thermoelectric generator under professor Joy Mitra.
Placement Experience :
In a research Institute most of the students opt for Phd abroad.Though many companys offers placement, most of the students opt for PhD in other colleges like Ivy leagues,IITs, and other prestigious colleges. The average package provided in the college is around 10-15lpa which is mostly taken by the Maths Major students.Almost everyone gets either placed or else they go for higher studies. Most probably,i will also go for PhD in some prestigious institution in abroad
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Our semester fees is 49,630(for generals and OBC) and the mess fees is seperate. And for SC/ST the semester Fees is 9230 And for the new batches the fees have been increased a bit for Batch 24 and next all the batches. For a semester tution fees is 66440(for generals and Obc) for SC/ST tution fees is 22000.
Campus Life :
Well, there's a lot of fests happening in the college,like the all the regional festivals are organized like the Ganesh Chaturthi,Onam, Pongal,saraswati puja,Diwali,etc . Other than that many clubs organize other events like Ishqya, Halloween party and Many more.And there's a annual college festival is there which is Known as Ishya which the biggest festival which happens in our college for 3-4 days. And all the books you need during your academic journey everything is available in the college library.And the classrooms are huge like amphitheatre and there are small classrooms for Major students and for 1st and 2nd years the classrooms are huge. And the sports facility is great here.We have dedicated tennis court,basketball court,kabaddi court,volleyball court and cricket and football grounds and provide coaching facilities for the following sport. Moreover there are lot of clubs in the college like Physics,chemistry,Maths,astronomy,Ecology,Biology,music,dance and etc.
Hostel Facilities :
Yes, i have opted for hostels because it's mandatory for the BS-MS students to live in the campus and there are no hostel or renting facilities nearby the campus because the campus is literally in the middle of nowhere in forest.The hostel fees is included in the tution fees but for the mess you have to oay seperately.Mess fees is like 3450/month.The food quality is pretty decent,it is eatable,And there are other cafe's like Icafe, Jcafe,cake world student lounge, Tastys resturant,zaika cafe etc.where you can eat

I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.
