IISERs have an excellent performance in research. Many of the students from IISER s went to some of the top universities across the world for higher studies. Here most of the students want to go for higher studies so placement cells is not as active as IITs or NITs. But in research it has an outstanding environment which much more better than any other NIT or new IITs. There are some students who got campus placements from IISERs also but the number is quite less than engineering colleges. Apart from academics.
The course curriculum is little bit different from the other colleges or universities providing BSc or MSc or integrated MSc course. In IISERs in BS-MS course the first students need to complete a foundation course in which they need to study all the subjects physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, data science, and also lab courses in physics chemistry, and biology. This foundation course lasts for one year after completing the foundation course students need to complete one-semester pre-major course where they need to take three subjects out of six: physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, data science, and earth science. And the faculties are well trained and most of them have done their PhD or post-docs from abroad. In one semester we have two exams sem and end sem and along with it one or two quizzes. Meritorious students avail of scholarships like INSPIRE (issued by Govt. of India) or institute scholarships for financially weaker students.
I am a first-year student so I was not able to get any paid summer internship. I am doing a reading project under a mathematics professor at my institute and an online summer internship program REYES at the University of California, Berkeley whose link I got from the placement cell of the college. Although there are a good number of students in the third or fourth year who can get some international internships like DAAD-WISE, MITACS , CHARPAK, KAUST etc.
It is a research institute most of the students from here go for higher studies abroad. Around 70% of students go for PhD in abroad every year. And from the rest 30% of some of the students go for PhD positions in India. And around 7-10 % of students go for jobs just after completing BS-MS. There is a placement cell here, last year one of the students got placed in TCS with a package of 18 lakhs per annum.

I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.
I choose this course because i have a strong interest in history and understanding past events, and culture and their impact on the present.the course curriculam is well structured and covers both core elective subjects, giving a balanced understanding of historical concepts.
There are few placement opportunities like infosys but we can't opt for high salary paying jobs.I am planning to complete mtech after graduating btech. There are many students with jobs from college selection but I don't like many jobs from college as per their salary
The faculity is generally experienced and supportive most students are satisfied. With the teaching clinical exposure. Facilities are friendly with the students. Regularly conducts class test and model exam to help students prepare for their studies and university examination. Faculties are high qualified and experienced
Most of the faculties are bds or mds graduated and well knowledged. Classes are mainly powerpoint presentation based and seminars. There are 2 internals and one model examination based on which qualification for university exam is determined.
I love zoology.. I want to build my career on this subject. My faculty has phd.. She teaches well.. I could understand all concepts very easily. There are internal exams. I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty
As I'm a first year student I've not got information about the placement but there are so many placement options from South Indian Bank, icici bank and also from companies like deliotte etc The college has connection with many international companies too.
Minimum criteria for placement is for a student with minimum arrears.Even though supply there if you have skill then you will be placed .Amal Jyothi has a better placement compared to other college and is very good
