The brand Dayananda Sagar was enough for me to chose this college plus the campus played a major role as I have always wanted a big campus with several amenities such as excellent cultural and sports aspects. I didn't face any interview rounds because I am from the management quota. They just saw my 12th marksheet. But in general there are 2 different ways of getting into dsu- through cet exam and through DSAT exam. The DSAT exam consists of a cbt (computer based test) which apparently is pretty easy to crack.
Computer Science is a course which is very much in trend now and it is also very interesting. Initially I was a little hesitant because usually private colleges are not that reputed in terms of academics or faculties. Now there are goods and bads in every situation but i have found some pretty amazing teachers here at dsu. Some classes happen in the lecture halls whereas some happen in classrooms. Now the strength of students is a lot for btech cse course which is the only big drawback according to me. There are 2 mid semester exams and students can give an additional midsem exam in case they missed any one of the 2 midsems due to medical emergency. There are internals which consists of assignments, labs, projects, etc and there is a final examination or a sem end examination at the end of a semester. This gets a lil hectic due to the number of exams being conducted every semester.
Since I am just started my second year in college i haven't had the chance of doing any internships yet. Will be planning to do some internship towards the end of my 4th sem Or in 3rd year. Dsu doesn't have any separate campus drive for internships. Several companies offer internships instead of full time jobs in the final year placement drives.
In the 4th year or 7th sem placement drive begins in the college. Various companies come. There are also some students getting international placements (in Japan). According to what I heard the highest placement that a student got this year is around 35lpa. Companies like tcs, capgemini, etc come for the campus placements. I'm not sure but more 90% students get placed from my course every year. I plan on working for a few years and then getting my masters degree from a foreign university later on.
Since I am from management quote I will be paying ?375000 per year which makes it 15 lakhs for the 4 year course however the normal fees is ?3 lakhs per year which makes it ?12 lakhs for the 4 year btech course. There is a DSAT scholarship for which I don't have much idea but i guess students get around 1 lakh scholarship for a every every which makes their fees around ?2 lakhs per year. All the details are with respect to batch 2024-27. The current amount can be slightly higher.
Campus life is great. Even though the campus is in the outskirts which again is another drawback however there are plenty of events happening inside the campus. Starting from fests- there are 2 types of fests, one is a major one and another is a comparatively smaller one. There are various technical events happening such as Hackathons like the nasa space apps challenge, dsu devfolio, etc. Other major events include- international mun (I'm in), robothons, etc. Every 2 weeks there is some or the other cultural event happening in the campus conducted by the centre of performing arts (cpa). Also the hostellers get an additional advantage because they have there own sets of events conducted by the hostel body - s residences. Overall the campus life is great if you have good company.
I stay in the 3 sharing girls hostel for which the fees is - ?210000 per year and the mess fees is ?84000 per year. The rooms are great and the hostel experience is amazing. You can apply to hostel after contacting the incharges whose contact information will probably be given in the official university website. Additionally you can visit the campus, checkout the rooms and directly apply. The food quality is not that great and honestly it's not at all worth the 84000 as we always end up eating something from outside. This is another big drawback of the hostel life.
There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students
The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.
the average package is 6 lpa and highest is 14 lpa and there is a placement cell that helps students to get placed. the placement rate of our college is 90%. and the companies come to our college is tcs, tech mahindra, infotech, zelethra, wipro etc.

The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
All the faculties are extremely well qualified from top institutions of the world and they are all extremely approachable and nice. The term exams we had were split like CP1, CP2, and CP3 of 20+25+25 marks each. They were some easy ones, and some application based, which develops the engineering thinking mindset
