Good thing-I joined this University due to its campus....it is really very big...you will attend your classes in the palm of the nature....just a forest feeling... Bad- The infrastructure are not that good...but they are under construction... Admission process-The students have appeared an entrance exam conducted by Sams odisha...then they have to apply for the university and if they qualify they can take admission... Website- the students can visit www.samsodisha.gov.in for registration and application process....
I choosed English because...from my childhood it has always been my best and favourite subject to study and to teach....and the English is the subject in which there are maximum vacancy ...in odisha govt. Faculty - There are only two assistant professors in the university yaa they are running shortage of staffs....but their way of teaching and behaviour is really very good... Qualification of faculty - They MA in English Literature and the done PhD from utkal and fm university Exams- There are 4 semesters in the whole course....btw the course is Little difficult but passable....
I have not opted any internship programmes ....I just visited to a college which I got the job as a guest lecturer then now I got the job from govt of odisha as a lecturer in a degree college.... Companies - Only Birla Tyres, Infosis and mahindra offered internships with stipend others only offer internships....as I was not a part of this program I can't provide the proper details....
From the 3rd semester the students got eligible for campus placements. Placements-.last year ...Birla.Tyres, whori plasto...Mahindra.... Infosis visited for placements.... Percentage - around 65% of the students got placements.....annual package is around- 4to 5 lakhs
Fees- As this is a government University so it doesn't require more fees...only 4800 while taking admission including seminar fees and 1600 again at the time of readmission...and the students have to pay 1000 as a form fillup fee for their semester exams... Cost to study - it is a cost friendly place easy to settle and not very much expensive..... Scholarship - Jindal is the scholarship which the students get nearly 10000 per year..... Stipend - only the sc/st/ PWD students get stipend not the general and scbc
Campus life- it is unforgettable.....at the free time when we sit in the garden area eating or drinking something in the palm of nature ....it is unbelievable...... Social life- there are a group called " Nouians" created by students all the information related to university shared there...but there are no clubs to enjoy night outs...every month the sports activities conducted by the university in the university field. The university organise a annual fest for the students....in January month....the university have central library all the needy books are available....
Btw I have never applied for hostel...I was staying in pg... In takatpur...but I know how the hostel is.... because my friends used to stay there ..meal quality is good ,but only in Monday and Thursday the have the wrost meal have had.....hostel is affordable a monthly plan of 4000 for both bed and food charge.
No there are no Group discussion and interviews for masters...while taking admission.... The students should have minimum 45 % marks in their graduation subject and they should qualify in the entrance examination conducted by Sams odisha...the students can prepare bt taking professional guidance....
After completion of this course go for national health mission recruitment In odisha opsc amo exam conducted many students were passed the exam from our college and got posted. You can go for many pharmacy company 100 percent of students getting placement
There campus placement here are ok startups came here and many big mncs like tcs, flipkart etc. Some department get companies like the MBA but that is an exceptional case. No other department participate in campus drive or placement cell. Students need to apply off campus to get placed.
for placement students need to get atleast 7cgpa. The placement is decent where most students around 85% get placed . Main companies are accenture, tcs, infosys , cognizant etc. Highest package was 9lpa and average was around 4lpa . I plan to work in one of the companies i get placed in.
Students are eligible for placements from third year onwards on a condition that the student has good skills and created good projects. Companies are still coming to ITER since July, various companies like Wipro, Xerox, Paytm, Flipkart, DELL, Microsoft, TCS Infosys and various other MNCs and startups come to the campus for placements and also provide pre placement offers. Currently I have no idea about the highest and average packages as per the company and the profiles offered, but I know that the highest package offered in Iter has been 43 lakhs pa and the average package is around 6lacs-8lacs. There are certain criteria set by the college for the students to be eligible to sit in the placement, out of that more than 85% to 90% of eligible students have secured placements. Students also get internships from second year. After I get a degree and if I land a suitable job then it's okay otherwise I will look to get into civil services or defence.
It has average placements. They also provide training for that. You will be eligible from 4th year. They also provide practice schools where the eligibility is 8 cgpa. They also provide training in the 3rd and 4th year. The companies which I know are Infosys Accenture Capgemini Genpact Mindfire solutions Mindtree. Tcs. pwC Deloitte Inovaare Tata Power Cosmovolt Tech Mahindra etc. They mostly provide the packages in the range 3.5-6 lpa ..The average oncampus placement this year was 4.5 lpa and the highest was 14.5 lpa. The 30 lpa shown was off campus. So you can get jobs according to your skills and cgpa . Overally the placement is just average but roi may be better.
Actually as I am a undergraduate I don't exactly know how much is the eligibility criteria for placement but I know that the guest lecturers are given according to number of classes they do in a month My plans after getting a degree is to give jrf net /gate and to further study in reasearch lines.
Eligibility criteria for placements are based on cgpa cut off and no backlogs are allowed. A few companies that came for recruitment are Infosys, Tcs , Accenture , Cognizant , Dell , Deloitte . Profiles offered are mostly of software engineer and average package is around 600000 per annum . My plan after getting degree is to go into software engineering job .
The placement scenario is quite good as most of the students get placed before the completion of course with a decent package. Average package is around 8lpa and the highest package till now is 60+ lpa.
Course Curriculum is well structured ,in first year, evry branch subjects are mostly common and from second year onwards they taught branch specific subjects. Faculties are highly educated and they are also clear their engineering from best colleges
Yes, we do have a placement cell over here and is quite good. Many well-known companies come to recruit their employees, and the companies are quite satisfied over our senior's hard work and smartness. Many companies like Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Delloyd, etc., come to give good placements to the students at the college. I don't know the exact numbers, but the highest package was around 45 lakhs, and the average package was around 5 lakhs per annum. The average percentage of students getting placements is roughly around 70% to 80%. Currently for me, I don't have a solid plan to what to do but you never know some miracle might happen. Just joking, I do have a plan for the near future, but I am little worried about the future that on one before me start that initiative that I have thought about it.
