In order to get admission in Mathematics Hons the only thing you need is to get 60% marks in your 12th examination in mathematics No extra entrance test or GD is taken The college is quite decent and the faculty is also very cooperative. This college is a great choice for someone who wants to pursue BSc in Mathematics
I chose this course because I had a great interest in mathematics since my school days and got to know about this college from my seniors and my relatives who had already done something very good in their lives And after reaching the college I really felt that the faculty here is quite qualified as epr their posts and they have a very high knowledge of their respective subjects and are teaching the students in the most understanding manner The exams here are taken semester wise (two times in a semester) and someone who studies with full focus in class could score good marks in these examsqqs,
No I haven't opted for any kind of internship during my college days. But most of my classmates did opted for one and got quite good opportunities related to our field of knowledge and that too nearby
There are many placement opportunities in the campus. A lot of recruiters arrive the campus every year One should be passing in all the university examinations in order to sit in the placement exam. The highest package could go upto 8lpa to 10lpa after pursuing mathematics hons.
Fees here is around 1 to 1.2 lakhs annually (for two semesters) and also has many scholarship options like the girl quota, army quota, etc and students having uttarakhand domicile get extra scholarship in the course fee. And the scholarship on your course fee is also dependent on your 12th percentage and upcoming semesters' CGPA. Higher the percentage (or CGPA), Higher the scholarship provided.
The campus life is so lively and refreshing. Studies are so well balanced with the co curriculums Classrooms are so spacious and ventilated. Library here is also very big and has a lot of subject related material Apart from studies, various cultural events are also organized and an annual fest "GRAFEST" is also organized for the students
The quality of food is quite decent and menu is also diverse here. Different items are served during each meal of the day for all the seven days of the week. And the rooms are also very clean and spacious here.
Companies do come here for placements and many students get placed as well but there's always the student factor as not everyone deserves to be placed either. My seniors are getting placed at 8.7 to 40 lpa specially the mba courses are getting placed higher.
the placement support at DBS has been one of the best strongest aspects of my experience. the university regularly organized internship and live project, mock interview, aptitude training and industry interaction to prepare students for placements.
To sit for placements, the students have to be in 3 semester. Few famous companies that came in for placements are HCL, Tech Mahindra, ICICI, ANZ, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The highest package this year went up to 40 LPA and average package was 8.7 LPA. Around 95% of students got placed this year. For me I want to work in corporate for a few years then I want to pursue my PHD side by side.

I would say the college really provides wide opportunities to the specialization courses, as I preferred to go for further studies, but my batchmates got placed in good environmental industries because of the Degree.
