I wanted to graduate from the city I was born and brought up in. There were no group discussion or personal interview at the time of my admission. The cut off for my course was minimum 50% in class 12th boards.
I wanted to pursue bba since my end goal was getting into marketing field through BBA and MBA. The faculty throughout my semesters kept changing. Some teachers were well Experienced and had good communication skills. But some were not very fluent in English.
Yes, I opted for an internship at Himsrot. I was in the product management field for the company. I had to make a portfolio before every week for the arrangement of the goods that were sent for sales in the stores and had to keep a check on the quantity out for sales.
The placements for students after graduation is not as good as the students from technical field like btech. The campus placement is pretty decent though. The highest package for btech went UPTO 60lack per annum whereas for the other graduation courses, it goes upto 3 to 5 lack’s per annum.
My fees for an academic year was 86000. I got a 25% off on every semester fee scholarship due to my class 12th and 10th result. The registration fee was 1000rs. There was a compulsory charge for buses which I had to pay irrespective of the fact that some students stay near the colleges premises. There is a domicile scholarship available at the hill campus for students who belong to Uttarakhand.
The hill campus or graphic era university is not really like a college campus but more like a school campus. It consists of just one building which conducts all the classes and canteens, a small basketball court.
No I did not opt for the hostel. But my friends who did never liked the food from the hostel mess. Most of them had a mess outside the hostel premises. The dorm rooms were in pretty good condition.
Companies do come here for placements and many students get placed as well but there's always the student factor as not everyone deserves to be placed either. My seniors are getting placed at 8.7 to 40 lpa specially the mba courses are getting placed higher.
the placement support at DBS has been one of the best strongest aspects of my experience. the university regularly organized internship and live project, mock interview, aptitude training and industry interaction to prepare students for placements.
To sit for placements, the students have to be in 3 semester. Few famous companies that came in for placements are HCL, Tech Mahindra, ICICI, ANZ, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The highest package this year went up to 40 LPA and average package was 8.7 LPA. Around 95% of students got placed this year. For me I want to work in corporate for a few years then I want to pursue my PHD side by side.
College have decent placement percentage which is ofcourse higher than other local colleges near by.Our college have avg package around 6LPA and every year big companies like TCS visit our college for recruitment offering good packages.
I am preparing for other services currently but yes the college do provide good opportunities for future, even the college has good record in placement for AME, BHM, BCA, PHARMACY courses. Majority of students apply for further studies in our course.
Agriculture department is all about Internships and we have good collaborations with various institutions and training labs for polishing the hands on practical. The college provide good opportunities of works. The departments like AME, BCA, IT, BHM has good placement record.
I would say the college really provides wide opportunities to the specialization courses, as I preferred to go for further studies, but my batchmates got placed in good environmental industries because of the Degree.
Placements are very good. Placement criteria is based on cgpa and student behaviour. Good cgpa and no back allowed you to sit in placement. Highest package is 1.24 cr and average package is 4lpa. About 60% students get placed per year from campus. Tech Mahindra, TCS, wipro, Deloitte HCL etc companies visited fir placement.
I choose this course mainly because I wanted to pursue marketing for quite some time as I am extremely extroverted person. The faculty here are pretty well qualified atleast the ones who have taught me they really take interest in making everyone interact and share opinions
There are good placement and job opportunities are there in off campus placement because there are many sites whivh provide job and internships like inteshala and there are many other platforms to find the job and internships
