- Very Lively, Rare and Beautiful Fauna , Frisking and Bleachers
- Spacious canteen with 5 places to eat catering NE cuisine too.
Dislikes
- Some of the faculties don't have specialisation in Subject they teach
- Classrooms needs improvement and some toilets don't work, the science building is very old .
Remarks :
The college is situated in the centre of Bangalore which makes various research institutions and famous spots accessible to us . The college has two observatories which peaked my interest and is also blessed with up to date Library which houses books and thesis donated by famous scientists. However there is alot of groupism and the staff can be rude.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I wanted a career in Spectroscopy and was always wanted to pursue it in the chemistry domain. The chemistry department is decorated with overachieving post docs from Los Alamos, Kyoto University and John Hopkins University, with multiple publications in journals. Our First semester was very rushed and ended in 3 months so we had quater term exam in that month however the exams had appreciable difficulties and were timed.
Internships Opportunities :
Many of us take internship without any involvement of college, 2 of my classmates are doing internship in NCBS and ICTS which are affiliated to TIFR through a course on research development in physics. I work as an Subject Matter Expert in Chemistry for a startup
Placement Experience :
For a college which doesn't have engineering course SJU had good placement catering companies like Licious, Byjus and EY and only requires zero back logs and impressive CV for application. Since I didn't apply for placement I am not aware of the offers made . The highest package i know is 800000/- I plan to do a master's degree and go for research in Spectroscopic methods.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The following review is written keeping in mind the the Lab Fees , the Tution Fees and keeping in mind that I was in the NEP batch with dual major , since 2024 we have triple major . For my First Year ( including Language fees) I had to give 65000 For Second Year( including Language fees ) I had to give 68000 For third year, I am giving 59000
Campus Life :
We have two fests in a year named Prathiba(October )and Visages(February ) and Footprints (NE fest in month of April)which is a hotspot for various stalls and businesses to put up their stalls. As I mentioned we have myriad of books and journals. Only few associations have websites, we have a basketball court and food court)
Hostel Facilities :
I didn't live in the in campus hostel as it only caters boys , but I have heard things from my male friends living in the hostel , like the there is only one washing machine for all the floors and the food is bland and only caters non veg crowds.

There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.
