St Joseph University, Pros and Cons
Remarks :
The admission process is very simple It starts with you applying for the course and pay the application fees for it. Once the fees is paid, they call you for an online or offline interview and if you are good enough, you are selected. My interview was very simple there questions were about life and the reason for me to apply for this course
Course Curriculum Overview :
The faculties are quite well read in my course atleast, they have good command and knowledge over the subject. The reason why I chose this course is for the love of science and the requirement to improve my spoken English so that I can perform good in the UPSC exam after graduation. The exam questions are directly from the syllabus and are easy. In total you are graded out of 100 , 20 is internal activities, 20 is midsems and 60 is the end semester exams.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
70000 is distributed into 50k of tution and admission fees, 10k of non kannada fees (only if you are not a domicile of karnataka and is one time only) and a fees of 10k for language (only if it is a foreign language like English or French)
Campus Life :
College life till now is quite chill, you don't have any issues of college related activities and assignments. There are a bunch of clubs of the subjects which the students can join. Sports and extracurricular activities are there but not very good. Football team of my college is one of the best in the city. Psa Or the Physics Students Association is run by students and they give you the opportunity to interact with scientists and mathematicians from IISC and other institutions
Hostel Facilities :
The food is quite good, having coffee in the morning with breakfast, south indian lunch and non veg in the night. They provide you with an iron bed, you need to have your own mattress, bucket and utensils and other things you deem necessary. The application procedure is very simple, you take the printout of the application form and fill it and give it to the hostel director. Now it's completely his choice to admit you into the hostel

For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc,shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview

There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum

The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
BSc Physics at Jain University
Course Curriculum Overview :
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.

All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.

Placement Experience :
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
