Yeah I got admission through CUET. No I didn't have to sit in any group discussions or interviews for admission. In some courses if after all rounds of counselling seats are still vacant then admission is given on their previous course's merit .
Okay so the curriculum is quite aligned with gate syllabus. The classes are not as helpful though atleast for students who wants to do competitive programming. Yes you can take your doubts to the professors. But mostly you're on your own especially in lab subjects.
There are few unpaid internships available in the placement cell, technology and incubation cell, innovation cell etc. Though I've not done any internship in the past in my college, I've applied for internships in technology and incubation cell this year.
Placement was totally off campus before last year. But for 2024 graduates few companies visited and some students got placed too. I'm a little vague about criterion though. Unfortunately there was no company who came seeking CSE or IT graduates. So it will be for your own good if you consider Placement opportunities outside the campus too.
In the first year I had to pay 27780 which included my Tution fee + 5000 RS as security. In the next years the fees was between 22-23k per year. The hostel fees is around 3k per year. The mess fees is paid separately each month. It's quite affordable actually.
Mostly all the books that are needful for your course can be found in the library. They also have reading rooms for students who want to study on campus. Though the capacity of reading room is small and mostly you'll find it full. Coming on to fests there are 2 fests that happen each year Ananta and rudraksh but they also do not happen on large scale. You'll find only college students and local artists performing there. Though we are having lots of dj nights lately.
The food quality is average. Actually it's not good but then the monthly mees fe3 is also very low like 2500 so you can only complain about quality there and can't say why there are fewer items. In order to get a hostel you have to fill a hostel form and then on the basis of your previous course's merit you'll get a hostel. The hostel facility is not available for all the students. Rooms in the hostel are pretty fine compared to other government hostels.
Companies do come here for placements and many students get placed as well but there's always the student factor as not everyone deserves to be placed either. My seniors are getting placed at 8.7 to 40 lpa specially the mba courses are getting placed higher.
the placement support at DBS has been one of the best strongest aspects of my experience. the university regularly organized internship and live project, mock interview, aptitude training and industry interaction to prepare students for placements.
To sit for placements, the students have to be in 3 semester. Few famous companies that came in for placements are HCL, Tech Mahindra, ICICI, ANZ, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The highest package this year went up to 40 LPA and average package was 8.7 LPA. Around 95% of students got placed this year. For me I want to work in corporate for a few years then I want to pursue my PHD side by side.
College have decent placement percentage which is ofcourse higher than other local colleges near by.Our college have avg package around 6LPA and every year big companies like TCS visit our college for recruitment offering good packages.
I am preparing for other services currently but yes the college do provide good opportunities for future, even the college has good record in placement for AME, BHM, BCA, PHARMACY courses. Majority of students apply for further studies in our course.
Agriculture department is all about Internships and we have good collaborations with various institutions and training labs for polishing the hands on practical. The college provide good opportunities of works. The departments like AME, BCA, IT, BHM has good placement record.
I would say the college really provides wide opportunities to the specialization courses, as I preferred to go for further studies, but my batchmates got placed in good environmental industries because of the Degree.
Placements are very good. Placement criteria is based on cgpa and student behaviour. Good cgpa and no back allowed you to sit in placement. Highest package is 1.24 cr and average package is 4lpa. About 60% students get placed per year from campus. Tech Mahindra, TCS, wipro, Deloitte HCL etc companies visited fir placement.
I choose this course mainly because I wanted to pursue marketing for quite some time as I am extremely extroverted person. The faculty here are pretty well qualified atleast the ones who have taught me they really take interest in making everyone interact and share opinions
There are good placement and job opportunities are there in off campus placement because there are many sites whivh provide job and internships like inteshala and there are many other platforms to find the job and internships
