Sies is a comparatively well reputed college with good alumna, making it an easy choice to begin with. Overall the college is great with faculty being its greatest strengths, the activities and school spirit too is appreciable. The online admission process was unbelievably smooth. There were no such interviews or special criteria’s for admission other than 12th board cut-off.
Sies has the best faculty, all certified PHDs and great help both inside and outside the classroom. My professors focus on details and are well versed with the class. We have exams every two months in the section of mid sem, sem 1, mid sem2 and final exams(semester 2 end) The curriculum for my program is commendable, with extraordinary books and class activities to engage with ideas and opinions.
It is more or less the same amount for everyone. This includes Tution fees, computer lab fees, registration, college facility usage fees, and no extra amount is demanded otherwise for my program at the very least.
Sies has its famous ‘Visions’ and literary fest ‘Utkarsh’ in the month of February, the whole college actively participates and lights up around the start of the year for the same. The library has one of the best arts and humanity book collection across all of Mumbai colleges, with good space, free WiFi, ac and fair set of genre choices. The college does offer a good certified foreign language course along with super active rotract, nss and international lion clubs that organise events and affairs every few days and weeks, so there is something for everyone. Other than that, every subject has their own student run association that is a mandatory credit work, these associations handle teams like design, pr, logistics, content, event management and documentation, etc. Student can join any team and work and learn alongside their peers, seniors and juniors for the respective year. In my experience, joining politics association has be en truly a memorable one!
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
There are the placements are done in the final year of college, You are eligible for the appear in the placements drive you have to score good scores in the semester exams. There are the lowest 3LPA and highest 6LPA packages are offered by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BOAT, SBI , Ultra Tech, Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Students have to maintain their SGPA up to 8.0 CGPA.
engineering course curriculum is very old specially for university batch students my batch get admission in 2022 at that our college is not get autonomous status. passing semester exams is little hard in university compare to autonomous batch. faculties teachings methods are very old. And not practical learning provided.
