I was living in the nagpur since my childhood , and Priyadarshini college of engineering PCE were one of the few popular colleges in nagpur since a long time . So that was the main reason that I took the admission in this college . I took the provisional admission because I don't want any other college. There wasn't any group discussions and interviews for the admission in the college. All you have to do is to give a small written test so that the faculty will decide that the student are capable for the cource or not.
There wasn't any specific reason that why do i chose this Course , my elder brother suggest me to take electronics and communication as a branch because of the scope that will help me a lot in future. To be honest, this course is much harder than I thought , but due to the teaching staff in the college.. it became easy to understand the concept . Professors always be there to clear my concepts any time any where. Yeah... They are strict as well but they have to be strict otherwise no one will take him as granted! The term exams happens in every 2 months.
If we talk about the internships, so the college will only provide 1-2 internships during the total engineering , and if you wanted to perform more internships then you have to search it by you own. I recently perform one internship provided by the college. Internship was very good , they thought me well , gave the certificate , but college charged 1k rupees for the internship. The internship that I performed make me gain practical knowledge about printed Circuit boards. Like how they work, how we should make them, and how the components will work according to it. It was all fun.
Placements are very poor in this college , sorry to say this , but the truth never hides. This year very few students are placed , the highest pakage were offer at the price of 8 LPA and the minimum was 2LPA .
The total fees for open catagory is 1,27,800 rupees . And I tell the detailed fee structure than it would be 1,07,391 Rs as tution fees, 16,109 Rs for development fees , student insurance will be 800 Rs and other fees is 3500! . Meanwhile other categories have lower amount of fee , i.e. 74,105 for OBC , 20,409 for NT/VJ/DT/SBC and 4300 for ST/SC . After the admission , you can apply for the scholarship ! (Only when if you are admitted through CAP ). The name of the scholarship is MAHADBTIT... It will reduce the total amount by 50 percent so that you have to pay remaining 50 percent , and the few amount will be credited to student's bank account. Just like my annual fees is 53,695Rs and a few amount 2068 Rs has been credited to my account every year.
One thing, I must say.... Campus life in PCE is the best thing that I'm experiencing !! PCE is spread over 68 acre of land ... The campus is so huge that the student can bunk the lecture without going out of the college, you can hang around the campus ! The events are one of the best things in here ! The crowd, the DJs , the peoples, and the set up is just awesome all the time . Specially at ASHWAMEDH ! One of the biggest event in PCE . We have 4 libraries in the college ! Each libraries are very vast and all the books of all branches are always available here. Student can also borrow the book for a couple of hours or maybe days.
Neither I opted for the hostel nor rented a room or PG . But I know few things about the hostels... To be honest hostels are not that good , the warden and the cleanliness around there is not good at all. College charges 80k per year for the hostels, but I will never suggest anyone to opt the hostels. Students can rent a room or PG nearby ! It will be much much better option!
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
There are the placements are done in the final year of college, You are eligible for the appear in the placements drive you have to score good scores in the semester exams. There are the lowest 3LPA and highest 6LPA packages are offered by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BOAT, SBI , Ultra Tech, Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Students have to maintain their SGPA up to 8.0 CGPA.
engineering course curriculum is very old specially for university batch students my batch get admission in 2022 at that our college is not get autonomous status. passing semester exams is little hard in university compare to autonomous batch. faculties teachings methods are very old. And not practical learning provided.
