The admission process is held in 3 phases. Students can apply through any phase. The admission itself has 2 components - written, proctored exams and an interview with college professors and later if selected, by the dean. The questions are mainly based on the type of course you are planning to take so basic preparation as per school syllabus is enough. The good aspect of Christ is it is very versatile in all aspects. However the hard part of being in Christ are firstly the rules, and secondly the amount of effort they make you put to build yourself.
Christ is the only university that has a triple major program, which was Economics, Mathematics and Statistics for me. The professors are quite knowledgeable and will help you out if you can sit to find out how your interests align with their ongoing research papers or thesis. All the professors hold a Phd at Christ. The exams are semester wise and there are midterms every sem, and an end semester exam for every sem. Both these exams are held at a 3 month gap. Between both of them would be continuous internal assessments which again can be submission papers based on research or class tests.
Internships are available inside college with the Christ Consulting firm where they give legitimized certificates. No stipend is provided for the same. Other internship exams are informed and held throughout the year from second year as it is mandatory for students under NPTEL and stipends for the same vary from 15k to 80k. Companies include Goldman Sachs, D. E. Shaw, Deloitte, etc.
Placements are quite good as the university has connections with big MNCs. But how you perform during the interview is entirely on you as there is no guaranteed placement. The eligibility criteria for sitting for placements is minimum 75% attendance and no backlogs. The highest package offered so far on campus is 16LPA, although this campus is quite new. Most of the students get placed, almost 75% with worthwhile packages. My plan is to work for an MNC for a year and then go abroad for Masters.
The year wise fees is the same for all- 1,15,000 There is a registration fees of 500 for the admission exam and a security deposit of 5000 that is paid to confirm your admission before the interview. NRIs have to pay an additional 10% for the yearly fees, whereas same state residents pay 10% lower than the mentioned fees. No scholarships are available. Only ongoing ones after enrollment that will be informed by the class teacher for lower income families.
There are multiple clubs on campus, both academic oriented and social working clubs. Overall, it is quite versatile and students can comfortably choose as per their interests. The university has its own choir and dance teams which represent the college across multiple fests. There are two main fests- Blossoms and Darpan. The fests have a bunch of different categories to choose from and the winners get to become part of the college cultural team and sometimes, also get cash prizes.
The canteen is separate from the hostel. However if you opt for the mess facilities, you have to go to the canteen to eat your meals everyday. The mess has 3 main meals every day and evening snacks. The menu is quite versatile for South Indian students, whereas North Indians might find it a bit restricted as per their dietary conditions. Hostel rooms can be applied for in first year, and they are given on the basis of first come, first serve. It gets a bit tricky from second year as they review your behavior on campus and their is an interview with the dean when applying for hostel in second year. However, it is quite affordable, but the rules are very inhibitory to a comfortable lifestyle.
For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc, shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview
There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students
The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.
the average package is 6 lpa and highest is 14 lpa and there is a placement cell that helps students to get placed. the placement rate of our college is 90%. and the companies come to our college is tcs, tech mahindra, infotech, zelethra, wipro etc.

The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.
All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
