I chose this course as I had a keen interest in computer and programming. The course curriculum is great , lastest technologies are present in the curriculum. The professors are experienced and good. There are 3 cia's + end sem exams. The difficulty level is moderate.
The placements and job opportunities are decent , not that great. As the average package for ug programs is 3-4 lpa. For pg course it is 5-6 lpa. The receipts visit include Deloitte, EY, PwC, Uniqlo, BCG, Stripe, Groww, etc
Read Full ReviewI choose this course as i have intrest in finance and working internationally and thid course provides me with the knowledge sbout both which would help me open more opportunities and work in my desired expertise of work Every faculty here as done their doctorate from esteemed universities and the method of teaching varies from each professor to professor some have nice teaching methods and make you understand every concept in class itself whereas some teachers cannot make us understand a single concept we need to do self study only to pass those examinations Exams were conducted quite timely and difficulty level was not very tough not very easy it was somewhere inbetween that everyone could pass but everyone could not score 90percent
Placements and internships offered on campus are good and criteria to be eligible form them is maintaining 85percent of attendance a good resume and confidence companies like DE SHAW GOLDMANSACHS TOYOTA JP MORGAN come to campus to recruit people for internships and job offerings highest package for this year was 28lakhs pa and average was 4lakh pa 70percent of the students got placed my plan after the degree is to get a good job work for 2 3 years for experience and then join my father's business
Read Full ReviewI chose Bcom as it has alot of potential in future. All the faculty members are well qualified, 90% of them have done PhD and have good teaching experience. They make us learn and help us prepare for the office culture and they also give real life examples while teaching. All the teachers are friendly and can be approached if any doubts or any problems. Exams are conducted almost every month, there are 3 internal assessments and 1 end semester exam at the end of the semester, therefore 50% marks are taken by internal assessments and other 50% is taken from end semester. Though you should have compulsory 85% attendance to write the end semester exam.
The placement are really good , students are given internship opportunities as well as job from the big companies like E&Y , Google , Goldmansachs etc . Almost 90% of the students get job due to placement.
Read Full ReviewMy course deals with two majors- Psychology and Economics. My parent department is psychology. Let's just say, the faculty is ironical. The teachers assigned to us from the psychology department are hardly compassionate, they do not give you marks whatsoever. The Psychology department has an unsaid capping policy, where they assign the entire class an average grade and give maybe two students exceptional grades. Th Economics department is vibrant and lively. The faculty is amazing, interactive, approachable, and definitely knowledgeable. It is fun to sit in economics lectures because they are much more engaging. Our curriculum is new and based on the NEP policy, so I believe our course structure is wobbly, however, our juniors have a better-structured curriculum with a clear goal each semester. They have incorporated psychology and economics in a better manner for the juniors.
I chose the college mainly for convenience purposes. I had applied to other colleges but they were far from my home. Since the campus is relatively new, I would say the opportunities are greater in the Yeshwanthpur campus. The admission process is standard- application for the course, an exam (if applicable for the course), and an interview. For my course, I did not have to write an entrance exam, so I directly had an interview. The best way to prepare for the interview is to learn at least the basics of the course you're choosing. It makes a great impression on the interviewer if they recognize your zeal to pursue the course.
Read Full ReviewChrist is the only university that has a triple major program, which was Economics, Mathematics and Statistics for me. The professors are quite knowledgeable and will help you out if you can sit to find out how your interests align with their ongoing research papers or thesis. All the professors hold a Phd at Christ. The exams are semester wise and there are midterms every sem, and an end semester exam for every sem. Both these exams are held at a 3 month gap. Between both of them would be continuous internal assessments which again can be submission papers based on research or class tests.
Placements are quite good as the university has connections with big MNCs. But how you perform during the interview is entirely on you as there is no guaranteed placement. The eligibility criteria for sitting for placements is minimum 75% attendance and no backlogs. The highest package offered so far on campus is 16LPA, although this campus is quite new. Most of the students get placed, almost 75% with worthwhile packages. My plan is to work for an MNC for a year and then go abroad for Masters.
Read Full ReviewAll the faculties are highly educated. Most are IIM graduates . They discuss in depth rather than lecture. Classes are made less boring than expected. Course is designed such a way that students understand everything and doesnt miss out.
Initially for selection process you need to undergo an aptitude test then an interview with the faculty. The aptitude test will be moderate and interview will be based on your understanding about the college and course you have chosen. My course was interesting and new therefore joined this college.
Read Full ReviewI chose General BBA because I wanted to explore all the preferences that I had. Like Marketing, Finance, Business Analytics, everything that Christ can offer. The faculties however aren’t that good, as in they do not know how to teach and make things a bit more complicated for us to learn.
The admission process is tiring, they will ask you to come to the campus compulsorily with one of your parent and it’s a long process. There was a written exam round, a skill assessment round and an interview - for interview we have quite many options but try to choose Bangalore Central Campus if you want to take admission in Central Campus. The YPR campus is good but it lacks good faculties.
Read Full ReviewThe course curriculum is good because our course subjects are similar to btech only. The faculty is overall good. You can interact with them easily and ask doubt and other things. You have to be careful around hod's.
The placement criteria is ok because companies come at college and you give interview and it depends on there interest if you are selected for the company or not because it depends on the skills and courses you have done.
Read Full ReviewI chose this course because I thought that English would be easy and I want to become a psychologist The teaching faculty is nice many have their PhD and they are very knowledgeable and good The midsems were manageable for me as I only had 2 but my roommate has 6 so it varies course to course but they were easy
There are dedicated placement cells now deployed at Christ and even the teachers are helpful to land you an internship as freshers we do not have much use for it so we are not much knowledgeable about it but I heard that the faculties helpful and we do get paid
Read Full ReviewThe course is BA Psych-English and its a unique blend of subjects. We were the first batch so we got a good pick of faculty and they are very supporting. Teaching is strict but also activity based. We find it satisfactory.
Placements are available and extremely diverse. My course has a par amount of placement opportunities in fields such as HR, Hospitality, Copywriting, Content writing and design. Employability in my course is increasing in this modern Indian landscape.
