Firstly it was close to my hometown. The patient flow is really good for practice. It's very academically oriented college. Moreover our college is in the hospital itself so you get used to the patient environment and get good exposure and practice.
In total I have 9 terms over a period of 4 years and prelims every year before university exams. You need to qualify your term exams to be eligible for university exams. For academics I have joined some platforms which provide video lectures and also I do my college lectures. Faculties for all subjects are moderate I'd say.
Internship is for the 5th year. You can opt to do it at any other college or your college itself. In internship you are posted in different departments and you get to deal with patients actually. And our college having good patient flow gives good practice for internship.
Usually no one stops at mbbs everyone does md or even on basis of mbbs you can get a job. But there are no campus interview in this field. To qualify for md you have to give next exam which has 2 steps. To go outside for md there's usmle for america, plan for uk. Mostly everyone starts studying for this from 2nd year.
As my quota is SC I only have to pay the developmental fee which is 1,04,000 for every year of my course. My tution fee is paid through scholarship provided by Maharashtra government . For open category the fees is around 11 lakhs and for obc it's 6 lakhs for general .
Truly speaking campus life is not much cuz obviously it's in a hospital. But we do have yearly fests which are fun. 3rd years form the student council and overall all students are involved in managing the fest so it's fun. Campus is quite huge. We have a football court. Cricket stadium is huge. But we do have fewer classrooms as recently the student capacity is increased.
Yes I have opted for hostel. It's a new building. The security is really good even the mess food is good compared to other mess. It's a 3 person occupancy rooms and atteched washrooms . But there's no ac.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
