I had my seniors of my school in this college and also it was close to my house too. The infrastructure of the college was also good in the amount of fee it charged and also the fee was comparatively low. The course which i wanted to do was also available in this college and there were no ragging cases.
The course curriculum was good as it included all the subjects. In 1st year the course had 12 class subjects with elongated topics along with new subjects. We had labs in forst yeat too. We were given practicle knowledge of mechanical engineering too. In 2nd year we had technical subjects like MD-I, TOM, Heat & mass transfer, etc. In 3rd year we had MD-II SOM, etc In 4th year there were more theory subjects and we had to make our final year project to pass. I made a miniture turbo jet engine along with my team members for which we recieved 1st position in final year project exhibation. The faculty were very bad and would sometimes teach the topics wrong. They were very unsupported and gave marks based in who did their praises and not based on acdemics. Only the teachers of poly who taught us were good both in terms of teaching and supporting. Otherwise it was a circus
No I have not. In order to do the intership you will need a letter from the college which was usually given without any problem but during covid times they were not doing so in order to stop the spread of covid.
When i took addmission in college it didn't had any placement programe but in my 4th year they brought in 2 teachers who would help students develop skills and prepare them for interviews. In the 4th year we started having companies like DHL, KP reliable, cognizant, Mega rubber, etc. most of these offered around 15000 to 25000 per month. And almost evryone who artended the interviews got the jobs. I got two offers but decided not to join. There were also no extra fees taken for the skill development program and everyone was taught equally. We would given mock interviews on saturdays individually to improve ourselves. And then a personal feedback was given highlighting the weakness and strong areas.
The fee of 82000 rupees includes tution fee, library charges, other charges and exam fee. The fee for dress was 9000 only charged in first year. The 82000 is for normal students who have not opted for scholarship. Extra 1500 rupees are charged for fest each year depending on the expense of fest. For students who have done polytechnique from the college itself and than decide to do B.tech have fee of rupees around 55000. Scholarship students get scholarship of around 55000 and the rest they have to pay themself. For scholarship you will need a domacile and caste certificate. Late fee charge of rs 50 per day which can be reversed after writing a application on solid reason ground. You can also eat in mess if you are a day scholar and pay for it. Canteen charges depand on items which cost between 10 rupees to max 100 rupees. Gym is also present in college for which there were extra charges which is not know by me. Hostel fee is around 30 thousands per year.
The social life at campus was good. There were areas inside campus where you can sit and the time would pass so quickly as our college was present nesr a forest and mountain. The weather was always very good and we had sports courts where we would play games during lunch time and games period. Ckassmates were good too amd would hangout together.
I have not opted for hostel but i have been inside it and it was somewhat decent to live in. There were sharing of 3 students per room. The hostel also had a common area on each floor with a tv installed where students sometimes will also play cricket and when would also watch live cricket matches. Once a student burned a firecracker inside that area and got fined of 25000 which was reversed after writing an apology. The mess is also very huge but the food is not very good which i have eaten by paying two to three times. The hostel also had roof which directly face the forest and sometimes you could see a deer or in rare cases (once in four year) saw a leapord.
Companies do come here for placements and many students get placed as well but there's always the student factor as not everyone deserves to be placed either. My seniors are getting placed at 8.7 to 40 lpa specially the mba courses are getting placed higher.
the placement support at DBS has been one of the best strongest aspects of my experience. the university regularly organized internship and live project, mock interview, aptitude training and industry interaction to prepare students for placements.
To sit for placements, the students have to be in 3 semester. Few famous companies that came in for placements are HCL, Tech Mahindra, ICICI, ANZ, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The highest package this year went up to 40 LPA and average package was 8.7 LPA. Around 95% of students got placed this year. For me I want to work in corporate for a few years then I want to pursue my PHD side by side.
College have decent placement percentage which is ofcourse higher than other local colleges near by.Our college have avg package around 6LPA and every year big companies like TCS visit our college for recruitment offering good packages.
I am preparing for other services currently but yes the college do provide good opportunities for future, even the college has good record in placement for AME, BHM, BCA, PHARMACY courses. Majority of students apply for further studies in our course.
Agriculture department is all about Internships and we have good collaborations with various institutions and training labs for polishing the hands on practical. The college provide good opportunities of works. The departments like AME, BCA, IT, BHM has good placement record.
I would say the college really provides wide opportunities to the specialization courses, as I preferred to go for further studies, but my batchmates got placed in good environmental industries because of the Degree.
Placements are very good. Placement criteria is based on cgpa and student behaviour. Good cgpa and no back allowed you to sit in placement. Highest package is 1.24 cr and average package is 4lpa. About 60% students get placed per year from campus. Tech Mahindra, TCS, wipro, Deloitte HCL etc companies visited fir placement.
I choose this course mainly because I wanted to pursue marketing for quite some time as I am extremely extroverted person. The faculty here are pretty well qualified atleast the ones who have taught me they really take interest in making everyone interact and share opinions
There are good placement and job opportunities are there in off campus placement because there are many sites whivh provide job and internships like inteshala and there are many other platforms to find the job and internships
