For my batch there were no tests or any sort of written exams but NEP has brought some changes. Now to get into any DU college one must appear for the CUET exam. Delhi college of arts and commerce is an excellent college in terms of the faculty, it is in the south campus, so one can make many connections around the campus, if not in college.
Delhi college of arts and commerce have an amazing faculty especially for the department of commerce. I was pursuing B.com (hons.) and the professors that taught us were exceptional. The teaching method is also very good and gives a cutting competition to other top colleges in the DU circuit.
the placement cell of DCAC has done an exceptional job on making placement available to all the students of the college. I have been placed in one of the Big4s. Apart from the Big4s, many other companies are also there, such as bechtel, BCG, etc. 60-65% student gets placed because some of the rest have plans for masters.
For my batch (2021-24), it was around 8500 per year for the tuition but since the new education policy came, the fees was increased to an amount between 10000-11000. Fees for other courses is also around the same figure.
Social life in Delhi college of arts and commerce is quite good. You can meet different people and crowd is actually nice. Talking about the infrastructure, I would say not to expect much because the campus is very small and the infrastructure looks too old. There are many societies in the college, around 7-8. I was part of the commerce society of DCAC.
IGNOU offers limited direct campus placement opportunities, but the degree is widely recognized and helps improve employability. Students mainly secure jobs through off-campus applications, competitive exams, or by upgrading their skills. The flexible learning system allows learners to work, prepare for higher studies, or pursue professional certifications alongside their course. IGNOU also conducts periodic placement drives through its Campus Placement Cell.
The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.
The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.
Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog
PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.
The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
