EXPERIENCE OF A DU STUDENT
Remarks :
I always wanted to persue bcom from starting. After 12th i got the chance of getting admission in DU . I have ro give an entrance exam for admission called CUET. After cracking CUET with good maarks i got the opportunity to persue this course from DU.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I always wanted to persue from 10th as i was ambitious in commerce line and doing CA along with bcom. The faculty is highly qualified not a single teacher is below PHD every teacher has done Phd .And their teaching method is great. Term exams appear in every 6 months . They are medium level difficult.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Admission fees - 8000 Books fees - 1000 Miscellaneous - 1000 There is no such scholarship available but it will be coming soon in 2025. There is management quota for SC, ST, OBC, and for the tribal children.
Campus Life :
The last fest hapen was diwali fest it was conducted in october and it was super fun. Books are always available in library. Classroom are of big sizes. Any student want to participate in any sports they are invited , and there are many kind f extra curricular activities too.

The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.

The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.

Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog

PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college
Placement Experience :
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.

The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
