This was one of the few colleges that let me take admission in B. Tech Computer Engineering. I got direct admission on the basis of my JEE score without any GDs, interview or tests. No preperation was really required for this.
The curriculum is the same as most engineering colleges. You'll have to put in effort from your side in reading up and learning what is being taught. Most of the teaching staff is qualified and knows there stuff but don't expect any magical teaching that'll make you understand everything, at the end of the day you'll have to study everything yourself to understand the concepts. The exams were almost always conducted on time with their difficulty level being par for the course i.e. medium.
For my 3rd and 4th year I interned at Salesforce company. No stipend was given. But we were given training for solving real life business problems. Apart from that the internship showed how an office working environment works and how you have to work as a team.
Don't remember the exact eligibility criteria for placement but just passing all your previous terms is enough. The placement cell is pretty active as soon as you enter 4th year and a number of companies do visit, the likes of TCS, Cognizant, Accenture etc. A good percentage of students (around 70% at my time) did get placed for training in these companies although wether they secured a job from it is a different story. The highest package I think was around 40 lakh CTC but for most of the average student it came down to a 6-7 lpa jobs.
Students had a tuition fees mentioned above which would be reduced on a number of criteria like wether you are from Maharashtra or any other state, your CET marks (on the basis of which you might get a scholarship), your reservation quota and others.
I'm of the understanding that the campus has seen certain changes since my graduation so this review might be a little outdated. In campus apart from the classes there are number of clubs and activities to partake in if you're on the lookout. Some of the engineering related events are actually good and you might learn a thing or two there and if not atleast you're networking. The library is full of literature related to and only to engineering although most people spend their time writing assignments there. Classrooms are pretty standard if not a little big. The computer labs are also sufficient if only a bit outdated in hardware. The campus does have some sports like badminton, volleyball and games that could be played in a shorter area but for sports like football and cricket there isn't much scope.
The hostel has the option for a single double or triple seating rooms. The rooms themselves are small but there enough shared spaces for it to be not cramped. Each seating provides a bed, table & chair, a cupboard and a shared bathroom and shower. If you chose to stay in the hostel provided by college; things aren't that bad. The accomodations are new, neat and clean if a little conjusted, the food is good at best and "maybe I'll order" at worst but most of the time it's chewable. The fee for hostel at my time was ?1,80,000 which might seem a lot but considering the fact it includes everything from living to food, isn't actually.
The placements & job opportunities in the campus placements is good in our college like honestly it is good and also it is reason for students to take admission because there are many company coming to college. The average package is around i will say is 4.5lpa of all branches and here ENTC and MECHANICAL branch have more than 96% placement rate The highest package is of 22lpa which was from CS. The ground reality the percentage of students placed from this college is around 70% like the core branches students have higher placement rates and technincal branches placement rate is of around 70%-80% the core branches students also gets placed in tech. The main recruiters are TCS,ESDS,WIPRO,TECH MAHINDRA,INFOSYS,L&T and more. NVIDIA was also there but last year they banned the college because some students cheated in online interview.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
The placements are nice. Majorly Hafiz contractor firm take students. But a lot of firms do come fruit placement. Take interview and hire students. Last year a lot of students got placements based on their portfolios and skills And got salaries ranging from 2,50,000-6,00,000 Annually.
The placement and job opportunities in college is good the MOU's signed by company are good almost 40-50% of college gets placement remaining go for off campus placements there are companies like TCS , Accenture etc
Psychology as a field is highly recognized and growing sector after the lockdown, people are more focused on mental health, thus bhavans was the best option as they have Psychology department set for almost 20years which makes them more experienced. The teaching method of Dr.kranti Gawali the hod is excellent.
