I completed my whole education in Nashik and didn't have any prior experience in taking admission to other colleges situated outside the city so I was in favor of choosing the college that should contain all the facilities which is the best college and near to my home and Met institute of engineering was the great choice for me. Also, the other criterion for choosing this college was my percentile score in the entrance examination. The college requires the students to have cleared entrance examinations like Mht Cet and Jee mains with a minimum of 85 percentile for their chosen field. Once you have cleared this exam there will be a cap round through which you can secure admission in college. Overall the admission process is very simple and there is no hassle for students.
I chose computer engineering because from my childhood I was passionate about computer science and its applications. Also in today's era, the importance of computers is significant with the advancement in the field of Artificial intelligence and technology. So I made the right decision by choosing this field. The college has a well-educated faculty with unique techniques of teaching, with Ph.D. and masters in their respective fields so it gives students a great advantage. The exams are held in two semesters with an insemester exam for each. The exams are generally easier because all the questions come from the teacher's notes. The fee can be paid in full time or in installments according to your will and there is no hike in the fee structure for the next 4 years of your degree course. In an overall aspect, the college is value for money. Students can avail of various government and private scholarships.
As I am a first-year student so there are not many internship opportunities for me but I grabbed it from outside the college. The internship I got was of a software intern in the food delivery company Swiggy, with a stipend of 10 thousand per month which was a great amount for me. the role I was assigned was of maintaining the datasheets of the products and their delivery status which was an easy task for me. It was the work-from-home remote job.

Met utsav is the biggest fest of the college in which various well-known celebrities politicians and guests take part and the fest is usually held in January. The guest for this year was Shilpa Shetty a well-known Bollywood actress. Students get various opportunities to showcase their talent in this 5 days long event. The college provides the biggest library as compared to other colleges in Nashik so students don't even need to buy books for reference from outside. The Cost of journals, Amenities, and other essential things are covered in the total tuition fees. Students are given access to the sports room where they can play various indoor games and also gym is situated near it. For outdoor games, there is a big ground outside the college with all the amenities. There are various social and corporate groups run by the students club like Google Developers Club, Microsoft Club, and other practices for tech students. The food of the hostel and canteen is very good with affordability.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
