To enter the college you have to secure a rank below 3000 in IMUCET and then be eligible for TMISAT which is followed up by an interview from TMI. You also need to have PCM in your class 12th and must have 70% in PCM
The faculty is top notch as TMI being the top college in merchant navy only hires the best of the best. They are all professionals of this field who have been either on board as captains or chief engineers or based on BITS.
The internship programs start after the first semester of 4th year. The company you are placed in provides a 6 month on board internship before going on board and if it doesn't then our college provides internship on the ship called Prabhu Vidya inside our college.
The placements are what TMI is known for. TMI provides a 100% placement by the end of 4th year. Every year top companies like BSM NYK BP SHELL CHEVRON are the ones that are invited to our college. After getting the degree I plan to go onboard.
Every year we have two semesters the first has a fee approximately 2.5-3 lakh varying from year to year the next semester has a few of 2-2.25 lakh and have additional fee in first years like the uniform and other accessories . We have yearly fees for books and other necessary equipments like laundry bags epaulets. We have hostel and mess fees per year around 2 lakh
The life is campus includes alot of club activities and sports. Their is facility for almost every sport there is to play. Cadets are encouraged to play sports for atleast two hours a day and perform in clubs.
The Hostels are great and the rooms are very comfortable but then the bathrooms can have an improvement. The message food is top notch and has a huge variety of meals available which are high in protein as well as good in taste.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .

engineering course curriculum is very old specially for university batch students my batch get admission in 2022 at that our college is not get autonomous status. passing semester exams is little hard in university compare to autonomous batch. faculties teachings methods are very old. And not practical learning provided.
there are lots of mnc company visted college every year, most of companies have there eligiblity criteria is 60% and above overall from 10th, the biggest tech companies like tcs, wipro, accenture, deloitte, infosys, the average package is around 3lpa, every year 50 to 70% students getting placed.
The placements are nice. Majorly Hafiz contractor firm take students. But a lot of firms do come fruit placement. Take interview and hire students. Last year a lot of students got placements based on their portfolios and skills And got salaries ranging from 2,50,000-6,00,000 Annually.
The placement and job opportunities in college is good the MOU's signed by company are good almost 40-50% of college gets placement remaining go for off campus placements there are companies like TCS , Accenture etc
