Remarks :

The faculty is extremely supportive and the course structure is highly relevant and rigorous. It prepares you well if you plan to pursue higher education. The bad part is the strict attendance policy, quite a lot of students get debarred and are not allowed to sit for exams because of attendance shortage. The admission process is quite straightforward, you have to get above 65% in 12th from any stream and sit for the entrance exam which is average in difficulty level.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course because the course content is quite in-depth and it covers various fields of psychology and gives exposure to them so students can specialize during their masters. Most of the faculties have a PhD or Masters and are highly qualified in their respective specializations. The teaching quality is great and faculty is easily approachable and helpful. Exams are conduced end of each term based on the academic calendar given at the start of the year. No delays take place, everything goes according to schedule. The difficulty level is above average and students need to start preparing with enough time on hand.

Internships Opportunities :

There is a compulsory summer internship after 2nd year that students have to do in either Clinical, Counselling or Industrial Psychology. It gives students hands-on practical experience and exposure to the field of psychology in India.

Placement Experience :

No campus placement is offered for my course as most students pursue higher education so support is given for that. I plan to pursue my Masters Degree in Psychology outside of India after graduating and eventually get a PhD in Psychology.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I paid Rs 110000 for my first year and Rs 95000 for my 2nd and 3rd year. The fee is all inclusive and is not based on any categories. Everyone pays the same amount. There are no scholarships or financial aid available for students.

Campus Life :

For my course, The Psychology Committee conducts various events throughout the year with the flagship fest taking place in late February or early March. The fests are fun and you get a lot of experience from participating in organizing them. The library is average, although you do get access to Turnitin and printing services. The classrooms are fully air conditioned, have smart boards and charging points. Sports facilities don't exist on campus as such but the Sports Committee conducts events off campus occasionally.

Placement Experience :

I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
