I am from a small village in UP and hence i was having no idea of collages outside my state. I was not even planning to take admission outside my state. When i came in 12th class and i was selected in the NGO scholarship i specified above mentors in that scholarship told me to fill form of COMEDK and guided me to take admission in collage. I took admission from COMEDK and there was nothing like Interview or Group discussion. I just have to attend COMEDK and based on that score i got admission. Last year COMEDK cutoff was somewhere around 14k for CSE but this year there was a huge change in it. This year it was gone upto 31k. So i sometimes feel bad that i am studying with peoples with that low rank and they are also in CSE.
I choose CSE branch because i have interest in coding from 9th class and also it is considered the best branch currently so my parents also told to choose CSE. In CSE currently we are in chemistry cycle so we have to study chemistry for the first semester. For curriculum i would say it is not that difficult. Teachers are also really good, some of them teach so well that we understand everything, Like our PLC (Programming Language Course) teacher is so good and teaches us so well that i don't have any doubt till yet. Some teachers are also very bad at teaching, Like our CAED(Computer Aided Engineering Drawing) he is so bad that i don't attend his classes at all. Even whole class sleeps in his period. He uses mike for teaching then also he can't teach. I literally don't know anything in CAED till now. Same for BALAKE KANNADA our mam don't even know english, Whenever we have doubt i can't even discuss it with her. I am a northie then how can i ask doubt in kannada.
No, I have not opted any internship yet, But yeah there are opportunities available here in collage, but they are available to only those who are good in coding and programming. for backbenchers, this collage have very less things.
I am actually a first year so i dont have that much idea about placements, but i think this year our collage highest placement was of 27 LPA. As i have listened from seniors, Placements are there in collage but for mostly cream layer students. Lower students will either get placed at very low package(2.5-3.5LPA) or will not even get placed. so I am not depended on collage placement, I will learn coding and will try offcampus. It will be difficult but more fruitful as compared to Hardworking 4 Years and getting placed at around 8-12 LPA.
The annual fee structure of our collage is 281476 rupyees only. I am enrolled in a scholarship which provides some part of collage fees. It is basically a NGO that helps students with lower financial category. For increasing or not i can't say anything surely as they can increase fees because now they are autonomous hence they can increase it. The collage fees for 4 years would be approximately around 13 - 14 Lakhs. if a guy takes collage hostel which is BTW very expensive, Then it will go anywhere upto 22 - 25 Lakhs for complete degree.
The life in campus is not that good actually. If you are expecting to have a hangout spot then there is nothing in campus. even there are some places where we can sit and hangout from there also Guards come and tell us to leave that place. we can just roam in campus and walk here and there. There is a park where we can hangout but that is also temporarily closed right now. For clubs, there are basic clubs like singing, Dancing, Modelling but their events are not that much great. Infrastructure is also not worth the fees we paid to collage. I can remember only the glimpse of collage that i makes a lot of fun with friends in Hostel and campus and in the park.
The first thing i will tell about Hostel is that they are very expensive as compared to other ways to stay here. They take very high fees. Food in collage hostel if good (like really good ) as compared to PGs. The menu is okayish because they have some days good things but on saturday there is something which no one in hostel likes to eat. mess is completely empty, You can't find a single student there on saturdays. I don't have any idea about the PGs or localities here in Bangalore. Hostel have only 3 Good things. 1 - Good food 2 - Good security and if you have any problem you can tell Warden, They are very friendly to us. 3 - In any emergency you can contact warden and Sir in Hostel office, They are always ready to help you. The one major disadvantage i feel is that hostel wifi is very unstable. Many a times it doesn't work at all

For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc, shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview
There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students
The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.
the average package is 6 lpa and highest is 14 lpa and there is a placement cell that helps students to get placed. the placement rate of our college is 90%. and the companies come to our college is tcs, tech mahindra, infotech, zelethra, wipro etc.
I got placed in a company called Glory Infinity Private Limited, there other offers from The math school infosys ultratech every student had multiple offers from company. Not A very high packages but good opportunities
The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum
The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.
All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
