Remarks :

I opted for this college in CET Cap rounds and according to my percentile I got this college (80.30) also this college is a hindi minority college so I got that benefit as well. There were no GD or interviews only the main CET centralized exam was there. The good thing about my college is that it is pretty close to Kopar Khairne station at a walkable distance and the campus is also quite decent compared with other colleges you get at this percentile. The bad thing about my college is that some faculties are not good at teaching the core subjects.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course reason being as i have opted for others too in the CET cap round but I got this according to my percentile. Some faculties are quite good at teaching and they are quite helpful too, they also helped me to publish my research paper as well. But there are some who do no teach well at all and are not experienced in their field. Some of the faculties are of PhD level. The exam pattern is as follows, mid sems conducted twice and one end sem conducted at the end of each sem. The syllabus is according to Mumbai University so the paper level is quite difficult. Many students struggle to get passing marks.

Internships Opportunities :

I haven't yet opted for any internship so I don't have any idea on the stipend part. There is a compulsory rule by the AICTE guidelines that in our college everyone should get internships as part of their experience programme. Major internships are been given by companies like TCS, Wipro, etc in roles like WEB developer, App developer, etc. The tasks are to make services for the clients to work with and everything is guided by the companies.

Placement Experience :

The placement season starts in 4 yr . The basic criteria is that you should have more than 7 CGPA . Major companies visited are Amazon, TATA, Wipro, IBM and much more. The highest package recorded was 25LPA and the lowest was 3 LPA with the average being 7-8 LPA . The majority of the students get placed on campus. My plan is to become a cybersecurity expert.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I paid an yearly fees of 80,380rs as I am an EWS admitted student. For open category the total fees for one year is 1,41,515 rs. For OBC category its 80,380 rs. For VJ/NT/SBC its 19,245 rs. For SC/ST category its 1,515 rs. Overall the college is quite affordable.

Campus Life :

There is an annual fest held every year from February - March. There are also books in the library related to the current curriculum. There are many sports councils present in the college and a sports ground to hold intercollege / college level sports competitions. There are also extracurricular activities organised by committees like CSI,ITSA,etc. There are no student-run social groups. Amenities are not present in classes like ACs or digital boards.

Hostel Facilities :

I have not opted for a Hostel as I am a day scholar student. Also there are no facilities being given by the college for hostels. The only option you have as an OHU student is to rent a room nearby or to share a common flat with other students. The approximate cost for pg or room is 25000 per yr.

Placement Experience :

I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
