I live in Goa so Manipal is close to my hometown, it is definitely one of the best private institutes in the country , Leaving academics aside the college life here is peaceful as well. Back in 2023 we had a merit based entrance exam which would decide your rank , since 2024 50% board weightage is taken and 50% of the entrance exam determines your rank
There will be mixed opinions on the basis of teaching by the faculty, but the faculty members are very helpful, if you have interest in pursuing research , the professors here are very helpful. Faculty qualification is also top notch , its not suprising to see many of the professors having a pHd degree
Not sure about the placements eligibility but you have to clear all your backlogs before sitting for placements, Microsoft is one of the big names that recruits here . Highest package offered was around 55lpa for a student in CCE , average package depends on branch to branch. The % of students getting placed is quite high aswell. Personally I want to pursue my Masters after graduation
Computer branches fees are much higher than branches like mechanical, aeronautical etc. Difference isnt more than 50k. 1st year tuition fees is same for everyone and hostel fees are seperate. Failing a lab and repeating it costs 4k and getting a back in a subject and reapplying for it costs 12k per subject
Manipal has one of the best campus life, if you’re a nerd or an extrovert, there’s always something to do in manipal. There are numerous of technical and non technical clubs. Manipal has 2 college fests . One is Tech tatva (technical fest) which is held around october and the other is Revels (cultural fest) which is held in march. Revels is one of the best fests including lineups like kr$na, salim suleman and javed ali last year. Library is top notch with ample of place to study individually and in a group
1st year Hostel is compulsory, even opting for a mess is compulsory, the food quality is mid but its not that bad that you cannot eat it. Hostel rooms are well maintained. If you’re opting for hostels choose the newer blocks like block 16 or 17(for boys). The most expensive room costs around 210000 (incl of electricity, mess, etc) which is a single attached Ac room
For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc, shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview
There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students
The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.
the average package is 6 lpa and highest is 14 lpa and there is a placement cell that helps students to get placed. the placement rate of our college is 90%. and the companies come to our college is tcs, tech mahindra, infotech, zelethra, wipro etc.

The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum
The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.
All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
