A realisitic insight at the student life at FIMT
Likes
- The environment here at fimt is quite social, as frequent fests are organised, overall a nice experience, as facalities for other extra curricular activities like sports are porvided
- the faculty is helpful and approachable so that wont be giving you a tough time
Dislikes
- the campus however is a bit secluded, for some area at least.
Remarks :
no interviews were included for the admission, the admission was quite easy to be honest, ideally you have to take admission through ipu entrance exam and their own counselling, but i got it through cuet, so that is an option too if someone has not given IPU CET, which is advisable though if you want to take admission in any of the IPU colleges
Course Curriculum Overview :
The faculty is quite approachable and helpful and academics here are also good, the course curriculum is average just like any average bca college, exams are conducted as internal external and semester end exams like any other instituiton
Internships Opportunities :
I personally haven't opted for any placement or internship, but from what i know, we have a placement cell in our college, which does help students get placements and internships.
Placement Experience :
the placements here start from 5th semester onwards, the college has a placement cell for that matter to help students out to get a placement. It is advised to keep your academic record good, also advised to try not to get any backlogs or whatsoever
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The year wise fee i was asked to pay for around 1 lakh3 thousand, i.e. once a year. so the total i would say would be a bit more than 3 lakh, excluding the 96000 that i paid the university GGSIPU which FIMT is affiliated with, merit scholarships are provided in the college.
Campus Life :
life at campus here is quite social, there are very frequent fests, some socieities are quite active always, overall social life at fimt is overall nice, facalities like libraries sports grounds, courts are available
Hostel Facilities :
the college doesn't provide a hostel facility as far i am aware, however you might find affordable PGs near the campus, the campus is in kapashera, delhi, so you may very easily find PG or stays here

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college
Placement Experience :
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.

The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!

du sol provides placement in news 18, aaj tak and job opportunities as according to the course of student pursuing. just visit to du sol north campus head quarter ask for the facility they will provide . bad thing is they dont provide on regular basis.

The placement cell is quite active. There are always placement and internship fairs every year and even other college students can join them. The placement recruiters are from top companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc. Although, not every one gets in these companies but then, there are other companies as well like Finshots, Voice Your Vichaar, etc. The average package is 3LPA and highest package is 8LPA.

talking about placement opportunities many companies come to campus including google microsoft to core companies like texas instruments and bajaj giving a decent job opportunity. each one with a cgpa of more than 7 easily grasp job with pay of more than 12 lpa and people with decent cgpa of more than 8 grasp top jobs in the campus
