Remarks :
Kunjali marakkar school of marine engineering is one of the prestigious institution which comes under Cochin University of science and technology , the college has a good placement for the students . Marine engineering is a special btech were you can sail all around the world and have an adventurous life .The job is risky compared to other courses , as it involves working with high pressure and temperature machines. One of the good aspect of this college is that it provides good placement for the students and bad aspects are it does provide the needful necessities for the students according to the fee structure To get admission we have to write 2 aptitude exams IMUCET and CAT Entrance , and we have to write both the entrance exams and have to apply for CAT in order to get admission here. I prepared all alone in order to crack the exam as it is a high competitive exam and have many aptitude questions to answer.
Course Curriculum Overview :
This course has a good salary and can travel all around the world . There is one college in the whole state that has btech in marine engineering. The teachers and the faculty has good knowledge about the subjects , and all are well educated and has former marine engineers. Exams will be conducted on regular basis and that will be planned before the semester starts , there are university exams on every 6 months and has internal exams on every 2 months . The difficulty level is average
Internships Opportunities :
I have not .the college doesn't provide intership but if you want you could find it individually and all the support will be given from the college .they say internship are not required for this course
Placement Experience :
The college provide 100 % placements till now .but can vary according to the market fluctuations.the various companies coming to the college includes fleet management Ltd , scorpion marine ,MOL, SEVEN ISLAND ,KK LINES etc .Synergy marine provide placement according to the results of the entrance exam conducted by them .other companies provide placement according to interview and other factors .the highest and lowest packages provided are 85000 LPA and 40000 LPA
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Tution fees:307860 Caution deposit: 12100 Registration fees: 2000 Exam fees : 3100 lab fees :740 There are two types of fees structures 1. All India Merritt 2.State Merritt For all india merrit , the students has to pay an extra 4 lakh fees and they have an extra fee for mess and hostel which comes around 94000 per year. Girls students has privilege and has a scholarship amount of 300000 every year which is based on there academic performance. Students who are coming under OEC and SCST has no fees during the academic year and they also get a scholarship amount of 25000 per year
Campus Life :
Various fest are conducted in the college, one of the main fest is sargam , and various colleges compete for this event , it is usually conducted by June or July . The availability of books and journals are less in the Library classroom contains projectors and blackboard also students are seated on chairs and tables . Kurukshetra is one the main sports fest ,here many colleges compete to win the prize , and sports like intersem are also conducted inside the campus by the students . Extracurricular activities are not there in the campus. Social groups and clubs are less
Hostel Facilities :
The food quality and menu are very bad when compared to the fees given. Hostel facilities are in generally good with good rooms.however washroom facilities are in poor condition with maintenance lagging for about 2 months .

The eligibility according to our teachers is that we have to get the 7.5 above CGPA and the number of companies that have visited and recruited are TCS Wipro et cetera and the highest package will be to 7 and lowest will be 2 lakh my plan after the degrees that I will opt for higher studies and specialised in some specific course like Java and will look for the companies like that

college provide best on their placements , as a part of making college to be best at the era . principal told to our batch that they will provide 50% of placements , i am glad to be in this batch because sometimes i may get a college placement to make an expirence for the future jobs

Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.

I choose this course because i have a strong interest in history and understanding past events,and culture and their impact on the present.the course curriculam is well structured and covers both core elective subjects,giving a balanced understanding of historical concepts.

I love zoology.. I want to build my career on this subject. My faculty has phd.. She teaches well.. I could understand all concepts very easily. There are internal exams. I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty
