- Most of the professors I met have great personalities and teach really well. Before joining I thought that the college surrounding area was dangerous, but it is not like that
- About surroundings more i would say its great Because Popular tourist attractions are nearby e.g Connaught Place,Chandini Chowk,Red fort,Rajghat,India Gate etc
Dislikes
- Literally non existence of physical activities ,The main small sized playground remains closed all time.Also nothing to do in free time ,if you think of studying then library is very loud and filled with wannabe rowdy students. No parking space for students.
- Students who bring their two wheelers have to park outside the college gate,Which is risky for them. No facilities, poor infrastructure, The college has no proper canteen ,computer labs are a total mess with broken seats old pcs and too much congestion,The new college building construction was completed in 2017 but it still hasn't opened.
Remarks :
There are Value addition courses, Skill enhancment courses under nep2020 for Delhi University although the classes for these courses get canceled frequently or syllabus gets rushed. These courses execution need improvement, also they are teach languages like hindi punjabi urdu which is compulsory to take not adding any value in employability of student.Addmission happens by cuet ug exam for undergraduates the cutoff for 2024 was 390 marks for this course.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Nothing really influenced me to take this course it was just my personal interest in mathematics, .Most faculties are great with great experience of multiple years,I liked them because they teach really well have great personalities and allow students to enter classes even if they are little late to the class.I like Abdullah sir(He gives free 12 marks to every students in internal assessment out of 40),Chinu mam (always helping in student quries),Venugopal sir.Although Some faculties like Swati mam rush the syllabus too much and refuse to answer simple doubts like exam syllabus.Also laxmi basumarty mam rushed our programming using python course she didn't even teach basic syntax and assmued everyone knew programming.The exams are passable if you study the minimum amount told by your professor.
Internships Opportunities :
No i haven't opted for any internship as the college has no proper active placement status or even a placement cell,it is a really messed up situation for students who dream big when they come to delhi university for studying.
Placement Experience :
Placements are poor and almost non existant,I asked seniors about it they were saying don't expect much from this college for Placements work hard yourself, In college whatsapp groups some people share internship offers but they look scamming and misleading.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There was no total breakdown of fee structure given by the college ,SC ST are benefited by scholarships and free-ships provided by the institution, Government and non-government bodies, industries, individuals, philanthropists.They received fee waviers of upto 10000 rs.There are scholarships available of small amounts for students who excel in end semester exams.E.g Mirza Mehmood Beg Memorial Scholarship of 1400rs given to top 3 performers.
Campus Life :
Annual Festival Zeenat is conducted in February,it is poorly organized. There are no events in this college if you like to have a college life then please don't come to this college.Library is rowdy and noisy but it has desent range of books magazines and newspapers.Sports doesn't exist in this college we recently are trying to play cricket in a playground infront of college.There are clubs like dance club debate society,National Cadet corps is famous among boys.
Hostel Facilities :
No hostels are available, also no hostels are nearby students live in Laxmi nagar mainly also some are in karol bagh and Kamla market.Students travel from far off places to attend classes which is sad as they have to see classes getting canceled. So yes hotels and accommodation is a issue for middle class students.

The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.

Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog

PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college
Placement Experience :
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
Maitreyi college is so underrated

The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
