I applied through their website and the application was 1500. The requirements were NATA to be written, JEE paper-2, and passing physics chemistry and maths in 12th grade. I was to set a date for the interview and the interview was in the next 2 weeks for me. The process was simple no exams just casual questions like why architecture and how did u come to know about the college and almost everyone got in who came for the interview. The results were out within 4 days and I joined the following week.
I chose this course because I had intrest in art and design since childhood. The faculty are understanding and friendly and their teaching methods are different and simplified. Exams occur twice a semester (mid-sem and end-sem) apart from that CIAs (Continuous Internal Assessment) occurs every now and then which contributes to our marks apart from the jurys.
I am just a first year student and I didn’t go for any internships yet but I heard from the seniors that it’s not so bad and gives you a theoretical and practical experience that contributes to our excellence
There are no placements in all of architecture but SOA helps us build an amazing portfolio that no one can resist us to take in for. All of our aluminis are employed thanks to the profile they have created. I, personally am going to persue another course, PG, I’m planing on either MBA or M.Arch.
Firstly the application fee for the admission was 1500. My yearly fee is 340000 and it varies with respect to the state you’re from (for example Karnataka students’ fee is comparatively lower that that of others) or if you’re an NRI. Cast might play a role in the fee payment but I’m not sure.
Infrastructure is just “wow”. The campus is so huge with lush green everywhere. All the departments are equipped, for example our architecture department has a climatology lab, 3D printer, etc. All students have access to libraries and it has a wide variety of study books. And there are a LOT of clubs which is so fun you ought to join in some of them.
Hostel doesn’t have a mess but they have canteens inside the campus which we have to pay everytime we buy something, not subscribing. The hostel fee is 64000 per year. The hostel rooms come with a bed, a cupboard and a study table. The rooms are of two types 2 sharing and 3 sharing. It’s harder to get into girls hostel compared to boys hostel since there’s only one block of it whereas boys hostel has 3 blocks. But architecture students get in because we have to work till it’s late and it’s not safe to go out anyway.
For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc, shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview
There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students
The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.
the average package is 6 lpa and highest is 14 lpa and there is a placement cell that helps students to get placed. the placement rate of our college is 90%. and the companies come to our college is tcs, tech mahindra, infotech, zelethra, wipro etc.
I got placed in a company called Glory Infinity Private Limited, there other offers from The math school infosys ultratech every student had multiple offers from company. Not A very high packages but good opportunities
The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum
The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.
All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
